Trying to decide whether to book Windjammer, Ocean Manor, or a larger hotel. Please help......
rooms are small but very nice a one bedroom apartment type
There are no large hotels in that area, you can find a Marriott and Margaritaville on Hollywood beach, that would be the same beach setup like the windjammer, however you will give up a full kitchen and the family downtown area of lauderdale by the sea. On the other hand Hollywood beach boardwalk is amazing with shops and restaurants on the beach.
The Windjammer is right on the beach and provides the kind of service you really don't get from a larger hotel. It's close to downtown and the staff is wonderful!
Can't beat Windjammer for beach, cleanliness, and great staff all in one place.Super close village center with a variety of choices for meals. Not to forget to mention all at a reasonable rate as well.
We agree great location beach and dive reef. super staff. yes it's older and not large units but very clean. been going there for years walk 2 blocks to center of town with restaurant's and entertainment on weekends.
We traded a Time Share to get the Windjammer. It is certainly not a luxury hotel, but it is clean, has two pools and a great staff. If you are a scuba diver, note that you can walk in from the Windjammer. The reefs are right there within a moderate swim. If on the other hand you want a luxury vacation try a Hilton, Marriott, or even Trump's Lago Mer up in Palm Beach. Hope this helps.
The Windjammer was a walk onto a beautiful, clean beach. it had two clean pools. In walking distance to food and some bars. The rooms were a little small, but they were cleaned daily. I would absolutely go back there. Very happy with my vacation.
