Rental Car or no? My husband and I will be visiting in January and are wondering if we should get a rental car or if there is plenty to do within walking distance from the hotel. Any advice would be appreciated!
I would definitely get a rental car for this location.
South Florida is not car-optional UNLESS you want to envelope yourself in the resort and shut out the outside world, a perfectly valid option. If the weather holds up, staying at the Resort works fine and you can always Lyft or Uber if you want to get out. If you have not yet been to Palm Beach, you will be glad to go there. Check out The Breakers for sure.
Rental car for sure
I definitely think you should rent a car for this hotel, as it is a short, easy drive to the fine shopping and fun on Worth Avenue, the Palm Beach restaurants, and across the bridge West Palm Beach antique stores, late nightlife, Cityplace. the Kravis Center, The Flagler Museum, etc. Or you can Uber-it's a cheap Uber drive depending on how much you want to leave the hotel, and may be less per day than rental and valet? There is not much to see walking around, although the beach is lovely, you are a bit South of town.
I recommend rental car. Lot to see by driving A1A etc
There are some restaurants off site in walking distance. You have to cross the bridge. There is a small park. You could fish on the bridge or near the park but that is all. I rental would be helpful or even uber around is also a smart choice. There isn’t “plenty to do” around the hotel.
Yes. Get a rental car. Where this beautiful hotel is located...there is not much to do in the way of walking distance. Unless you only want the beach. There is plenty of that. If you wanted to walk down Worth Avenue..the famous avenue in Palm Beach you'll need a car. You'll need a car anyway if you plan to do anything other than what is offered at the hotel itself.
We did a rental car but we only used it once because everything else was organized by the conference we attended. All other times we were taken by the activity’s shuttle or bus. So unless you plan to do activities planned by tour and leisure companies, I would rent a car.
Call the resort and speak to concierge they may help you better.
