Historic Tavernier Inn Hotel Questions & Answers

Ocean City, New Jersey

I am a single man traveling to Keys in April. Not sure when I will arrive, probably 16th or 17th. Any problem finding a room for about three nights or more?

When does 'off" season begin? I want to relocate so I need time to explore without paying in season rates.

Thanks,

Gene Candeloro

Typically the winter months (December - March) are considered the tourist season, but in the Keys you never know because the weather is always so wonderful. Best advise go on line to find hotels/motels where you want to stay and check the rates now. AVOID the Tavenier Inn at all costs it is a smelly dump - I walked in the room, walked back out and LEFT, paid $117 for 1 night there (which I never got back) had to go down the road to find a room (very nice though at the Bay Harbor Lodge but the room cost $208.13 for 1 night). Best advise research places, prices and reviews NOW.

There are a large number of smaller places to stay. I can't imagine that you would have trouble finding a room at a reasonable price. I would avoid the tavernier inn at all costs!
