Tonys Villas & Resort Questions & Answers

Hi we have booked the one bedroom private pool villa for December this year under the name of Cauchi.

I believe that the resort is going through an upgrade of rooms will we be in a new room or one of the old ones and also is noise going to be an issue?

And a lot of people are commenting on pool tiles will this be fixed by then?

Thank you in advance

The up grade is meant to be finished by late April SO BY December so there will be no noise issue as for which room you will have you will need to get in touch with Tonys

We have just spent 10 nights there. We stayed in a bungalow but looked at the one bedroom Villa's on the last day. They are brand new and we would stay in these next time. No need for mosquito netting there as there are no massive gaps in the doors or the open ceiling in the bathroom like the bungalows. The 2 pools here are new but not overly deep. The big pool of the back with the bungalows is much deeper, well over my head at 174cm but has some tiles missing on the concrete bottom of the pool. This wasn't to much of a problem, just go to this pool around 4.00pm as happy hour begins then at the pool bar, till 6.00pm (buy 2 get 3rd free). There are no builders on site and all construction is complete, finished. However there is some construction on the street that can be noisy as the accommodation is down the lane around 50 meters and then opens up to this tropical paradise. It was OK for us as we were up early around 7-8am for breakfast every day. The most noisy thing we heard were motorbikes roaring up the main street at all hours. A friend who goes to Bali also gave us some advice, use the word 'Tidack', the i is silent so it's more like 'Tdak' and means, 'NO'. You are, going to get hassled in the street to buy something or a random scooter pulls over and they get you rub something off to win a prize. After awhile is gets really annoying. Not sure your age but we hired a scooter from Tony's Villa's and used it to get the flea market, Seminyak square,

Bintang supermarket, Garlic Lane and dinner, was interesting and fun (we're 45 & 43).

The private pool villas are in the old traditional Balinese style which is nice , l have stayed pool side in bungalow which was basic but good in room 2015 or 2017 are the best poolside rooms , lm not sure what the pool villas are like the new upgraded section is very modern white hotel , smaller pools but new so depends what your looking for , yes there are some pool tiles off the main pool l believe they are doing up this area next but it won't be done by December , we had no issues with noise in bungalows but l think if fully booked the new area would be noisier but it's shiny and new if that's what you like , it's a good budget stay .

They are building next door so the villas are not being upgarded as far as I know.
