I would allow 3 hours if you want to include the current photo collection and the gift shop.

One of my guests was handicapped, so we got to use the original elevator. The other bought several souvenirs in the gift shop.

I would plan on about 3 hours. They have some rooms that have videos etc. Also a lunch cafe and shop which is nice.

If you are in the Rochester area this is a"not miss" spot ! Fascinating and 3 hours is about right and tour is a very good idea. The gardens are a special treat, especially now that Spring has finally arrived, with all the flowers!

Because we got a membership after our visit we go for an hour to three hours! It really depends on if we take our granddaughter, an hour, or if there is a special event, up to three or four hours. We are going again this week as we haven't been since the flowers bloomed!

Agree with above. Depends whether you want to read and understand the history or just view the interesting displays.

I live here and we have never been to the George Eastman house and gardens for less than 3 hours. They have his original cameras and photos that were taken with them. I can't spend less than an hour looking at the history of the Kodak cameras and I have seen them quite a number of times. Truly amazing. My Grandfather had one of the original cameras that Geaorge Eastman gave to him as payment for printing the first Kodak annual report. My grandfathers brother began one of the first high quality printing companies in the country. Leo Hart printing company. There is a street named after him in Rochester. Lehaco street. Short for Leo Hart Company. Just go to the George Eastman house and museum and don't rush. You will love it!

3 hours should do it. You have the option of joining a tour or going on your own. I suggest joining a tour to gain an inside look at the museum. It should take an hour or 90 minutes. Then you are free to return to areas you want to examine again or check out the amazing gift shop.

3-4 hours so that you can enjoy all of the exhibits. It's much more than just a mansion tour.
