Hi, There are 2 tours I think.

One just to the studio, maybe need 30 minutes.

I assume they still do a tour of the home, probably need 1.5 hrs.

But it would be flexible.

We did the house and studio tour at 11am and it took 1 hour. We spent a total of 2 hours at the cedars. We did the leasurely walk around the grounds.

I think there are 3 tours a day if I remember correctly.

If you are going to visit Hahndorf you should give yourself a day

The town is the oldest German town in Australia and worth a visit - lots of eateries, wineries and interesting shops - The Cedars is on the Adelaide side of Hahndorf - Hahndorf is south of Mt Barker on the South Eastern Freeway

The whole of the Adelaide Hills is a perfect place to spend at least 3 days going to the wineries - Stay at The Resort, Hahndorf - fantastic facilities and only a stone's throw from The Cedars (Hans Heysen's home) - Enjoy

If you want to walk in and look and walk out. Approximately 30 to 60 minutes. But, if you want to explore and read and absorb the artist and his work. You can while away half to a full day in the sunshine and a picnic in the garden. Take the time to rest and breathe. Simples.

An hour for the tour and longer if you stay and enjoy the gardens. Strongly recommend the visit. Enjoy.
