Fairfield Inn & Suites Tulsa Downtown Questions & Answers

Ranked #10 of 113 Hotels in Tulsa
Lawton, Oklahoma

We have tickets for "Straight, No Chaser" on Nov. 5. My husband is a disabled vet and uses a transport chair to get around. How far is it to the Brady Theater, and would there be taxi service available for the concert? Additionally, we need a handicap accessible room. Thanks for your help.

The Brady Theater is really close to this hotel. I have generally used Uber when I stay in Tulsa. Uber is very popular there, and I have aways gotten a great driver, very quickly.

There is an elevator to the lobby and of course the rooms... not sure about how far the theater would be, but am sure the hotel could get you a cab to it.

The hotel staff is very knowledgeable and can answer too, but if I remember correctly the theater is only 3 blocks away from the hotel.

I'm in a power wheelchair myself and the room I had was handicap accessible; had a nice roll-in shower, raised toilet, plenty of room and beds low enough that transferring from the chair to bed wasn't too bad.

Room was even set-up for hearing impaired and had a light that flashed to let them know someone was at the door.

A very accessible room

I would recommend it to you without hesitation

The Brady is super close and if weather is good you won't need a taxi. Hotel is handicap accessible. Call front desk if you have more questions!

block & a half from Fairfield to the theatre. I would not dream of being able to say how easy or difficult it would be to maneuver a motorized wheel chair from point A to point B, but I can say that the sidewalk infrastructure around that area seemed to be pretty good. I also cannot speak to the availability of handicap accessible rooms or cabs that would be handicapped accessible.

I think your best bet is going to be to call & speak w/ someone at that Fairfield directly, their direct # is 918.879.1800.

I will say that if proximity to the theatre is your driving choice, that the Fairfield would be your best bet.

I don't know if there is a network that would support inquiries into "most handicapped accessible" venues by city... Tulsa isn't so large that staying at a property that would specialize in providing handicapped accessible rooms and/or transportation but be a bit further from the theatre would not be a bad choice either.

Sorry I can't offer much more info than that?

Please... feel free to contact me at johne68 via Hotmail if you have follow up questions.

From a peace time vet .... my thanks & respect to you & your husband

Although a great property I'mnot certain this would be the best choice due to stairs up to check-in area.
