Multnomah Falls Questions & Answers

Bellevue, Washington

Hello there,

I'm planning to visit Multnomah Falls next week. I came across Forest Service website which says that the lower and upper viewing areas along with the trails and Benson Bridge are closed due to wildfire damage. I'm a bit confused after checking latest reviews. Is the closure still in effect? How good is the view from lodge?

Yes closure is still in effect because there were so many trees affected from wildfires last summer. Now the forest service is concerned that the gravel is loose causing the roots to be loose and ground being unstable on the slopes. Since Multnomah falls above the lodge the first service is keeping that area guarded until the ground gets to be in a better shape.

The view of Multnomah falls from the lodge is good and worthwhile
