Is valet parking a guarantee? I've read reviews that say parking is a problem. I am willing to pay if it's guaranteed that I will be able to valet. Is there a concierge floor? What are the hours of the pool? Staying in August for a Pirates game and plan to use the shuttle to see Pittsburgh before the game!
I did'nt have a vehicle being it was in close proximity to everything I did. The buses ran regular too.
Wish I could help! Didn't drive, didn't swim, never used the shuttle.
You should contact the hotel desk about parking; I found them very approachable whilst there.
We came from the UK visiting relatives and needed a city-central location: Our family usually picked us up outside.
If it helps, there is the Metro, equivalent of the tube/underground, with the entrance just across the road - Steel Plaza - which has a stop at North Side, a block between the Pirates and Steelers stadiums. Very cheap, and avoids the roads, we used it to get around a few times.
Bit sparse for bars and good food downtown - hotel restaurant is expensive but ok quality; hotel bar is a small, sports TV with beer and businessmen kind of place.
Head south over the river to Station Square for a nice mix of eateries and bars.
There is valet parking at the hotel. And regular parking with the garage for hotel guest but there is a fee either way. We paid the fee to park in the hotel garage with our hotel room. Not sure on pool hours. We went for the steelers/brown game so we took the ferry across and parking near the river was easy enough to get for us. Shuttle would be best if you are going to enjoy everything at the pirates game. Good luck
