I was wondering what their alcohol policy was? We are coming as 2 families and are not looking to party, but enjoy a drink by the beach or pool. Just wondered how strict... thanks
Their policy states" Consumption of alcoholic beverages is permissible at your site only by adults 21 yrs of age and older" There is a $100 fine if you are caught with alcohol in your possession on a golf cart or off of your site. As far as on the beach, that's under county jurisdiction. Alcohol is illegal on the beach but if you drink it discreetly and aren't being loud or rowdy, the lifeguards usually just ignore it.
My understanding is, "don't flaunt it" and you will be fine. Also, no open containers on golf carts. I enjoyed whatever I wanted to drink. I would put my beer in a 'coozy'. I would put other alcohol drinks in a discreet cup. I think they want to avoid boisterous behavior mostly. Enjoy! It's a great place, but remember, very very busy with golf carts and lots of kids on bikes in summer.
They like for you to be discreet on the beach, use a coozie or put your can inside a cup.
BTW... It may not be allowed at the pool. Again check with OL.
Yes you may bring your favorite beverage. All they ask is that you be responsible. I stayed at an ocean front site and it was nice to sit back and have a beer listening to the waves. I am unsure about alcohol on the beach though. You may need to contact OL for that information.
You are only allowed to consume alcohol at your own site. No open containers in golf carts or on the public beach. There are party's going on at campsites from what we saw but they would toss anyone with booze at the pool.
