The website states "corkage fee $12.00 for nonmembers". Does that mean an extra fee if you order a glass of their wine? How about if you order a beer or H2O?
A 'corkage fee' is typically charged to customers who bring a bottle of wine from their personal stock. It is a way for restaurants to somewhat discourage customers from bringing in their own wine (thus increase sales of the restaurant's wine offerings), but still allow those with a specific wine taste to bring in and drink that 'special bottle'.
Corkage fees typically apply to EACH bottle of wine that is brought in, however most staff tend to reduce or waive the fee for a second bottle - or in the case of this restaurant, if you become a member.
No just a bottle of wine.
The corking fee is only if you purchase a bottle no charge for i ndividual glasses
Corkage only applies when you buy a bottle of their retail wine.
