EAA Aviation Museum Questions & Answers

Lufkin, Texas

We are camping under the wing of our plane! I was trying to pack. Will there be a place to plug in a hair dryer to dry my hair at the public showers. If not, what do women do? What is the average temperature during day and at night?

Yes, there is electricity in the showers.

It's Wisconsin, and we joke that if you don't like the weather just wait an hour - it will change!

Typical weather in July is daytime temps of 65-85, nighttime temps down to low 60's. That's t-y-p-i-c-a-l....past EAA weather has seen torrential rains, cool (need jacket) days and Sahara desert hot days. We will pray for typical.

I will promise you this - you will love it regardless of the weather!

I have not camp at EAA since I live here in Oshkosh. But the camp ground are well equipped and very clean with plenty of showers and areas to take care of yourself. Temps right now are mid 70's and 60's at night but in a week or so it will climb to upper 80's and upper 60's at night. July is almost always a month of unpredicted rain so be prepared to get wet. Close to shopping and many restaurants to eat at. This is a well organized event and you will not be disappointed. You will meet friendly people and have a good time. Good Luck
