Hudson Hotel New York Questions & Answers

Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom

Hi

I have just sent a a question re getting to the Hudson from JFK. I then went on to read a number of recent reviews & immediately wished I hadn't!!!

Please reassure me the rooms are not that dirty & rats, cockroach & bed bugs aren't a common occurrence?????

Thanks, Phil

The room we stayed in was very small but you're not going to NY to stay in your room The bed was made every day and we had fresh towels every day too. The Hudson is very clean and makes a great base for your holiday.

Hi Phil, we've eben there for several times and yes many things changed and the rooms are really small, b u t there aren't no cockroach no beg bugs and no rats. It's really not that dirty. When you can live whith a small room it's areally good location. Have a good time, Susanne

Rooms are very. very small. No wardrobes and nowhere to put your cases. Upgrades are $50 per night to a marginally bigger room.

From JFK get the Air Train to Howard Beach and subway to Columbus Circle, short walk to Hudson. When at Howard Beach by your subway card and you will save the cost of a taxi or privste hire

Definitely no bed bugs or cockroaches. It's clean. The decor is a little odd in places, but staff friendly. You can get from the airport easily and cheaply on the subway to Columbus Circle which is 100 yds down the road.

We had a room with two double beds in it and it was a very good size. Apparently some of the rooms small but you only sleep in them don't you ?

Ayup Phil from Notts (I'm from Notts too!)

We stayed a few weeks ago - our room was really clean and well serviced each day. Towels and bed linen clean. The bed was very comfortable, too! Our first room was really small so we upgraded -- which I would recommend if it's within your budget to do so.

The hotel is in a great location - close to the subway. Employees were friendly and helpful.

Re getting to the hotel from the airport, if it's in your budget, I'd get a private transfer. We did a shared drop off (one of those sprinter van buses) and we were the last drop off -- It took 2+ hours...

Enjoy NYC!
