I would like to tour Antelope Canyon this Saturday, April 8, 2017. The Navajo Tours website (and another tour website) have my desired date showing unavailable but other dates are "clickable". Does this mean I'm out of luck or should I show up, anyway? ****A second question is - how skinny does one need to be in order to go into the Lower Canyon?
Thanks for all of your answers! I was able to get online with Ken's Tours and make a reservation the Friday evening for a 12:40pm tour the next day.
I stayed in Marble Canyon Lodge the night before and learned that not everyone observes Daylight Savings time, so I actually showed up an hour early by accident. 12:40pm was pretty much the last tour time before it got crazy crowded. There were about 5 sets of ladders and it was perfectly do-able. Really enjoyed it!!
My husband & I did the upper canyon and lots of room to move through, not sure about the lower canyon as there's also 'ladders' to climb etc.I would agree you should call to find out about your preferred date, that's what we did, as we had a specific date/time to fit into our schedule.
I would not just show up and expect a tour.
Also there were many heavy people on our tour that made it through the canyon fine. The hardest thing is going up and down ladders into the canyon.
