Hi. I believe there are two trips in summer, one at 7am and the other at 10.30am and I was just trying to decide which one to take. Does it really get very hot? We will be there around the 29-30th of May. Do I need to make the reservations beforehand(4pax) or can I do it when I get to Page?
Hello! We have two 1/2 Day trip departures in the summer, 7:30am and 1:00pm. Average high temperature in the summer months is in the upper 90s F and can be quite hot.
We suggest booking at least 2 weeks prior to make sure you get the date and departure time you desire.
I've sent an email to book the boat trip for 7.30am on either the 30th or 31st May but haven't heard from anyone. Is there another email address that I can send the query to?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
I would recommend the early trip as it does get hot.
Also I recommend making reservations if you are going around Memorial Day or after.
That is when vacation season starts for them.
Hope this helps.
I don't know about the temperature and time of day. I don't mind heat and I always feel the water cools down the air. But anyway you decide. But definitely book ahead of time!
Thank you for the information. Will book the 7.30am(:
We did this in April at the 10:30 slot. You actually probably board the boats about 11:00-11:15. In April it got very warm by the time we hit the halfway point. At that time you Beach the raft and can seriously cool off in the 47 degree water! Wear flip flops so you can enjoy the stop and put your feet in the water.
After the raft trip take a quick drive to lower antelope Canyon. You can hit a 3:40 tour and finish up the day.
We took our 10 year old on the raft trip. We enjoyed it and we enjoyed the sandwiches from the cafe as we floated along.
I can't answer a weather issue because we went in March. This trip isn't informative but you want to see the world from the Colorado River,as we did, this is the trip. A better expenditure of money would be the lower antelope slot canyon,NOT THE UPPER.
