If the weather is bad are there indoor viewing areas or is the zoo quite open??
Hi - there was a rain shower when we were there. Most is open, but you can stay indoors for some parts, like the more tropical animals. There is a yurt play/education space and of course the indoor soft play. The cafe has plenty of space and you can get a good priced cuppa (although it is mostly from a machine as I recall.
Yes , it’s not all out door but certain enclosures also become covered .
I'd says mostly open but, are the odd areas where it goes under cover .
It is mainly open-air, but there are indoor areas. I would not recommend it as a wet day activity, however. Most of the viewing is in the open.
There is indoor soft play and a cafe. Some of the park is covered by trees/foliage or being indoor (tropical) bit. We went on warm sunny but windy Saturday about 2pm end of may. Thought it was a good park
