Every summer, the institute participates in the Blue Star Museums program, which is a free admission for active duty military and their families, Memorial Day to Labor Day. Free Second Sunday is suspended in June, but picks back up in July. The other thing to look for would be the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau S.A.V.E. guide, usually available at the tourism information center across from the Alamo. - James B., ITC Communications Office
Also, second Sunday of each month is free.
General price is $10 for those aged 18 -64,
$8 for those aged 6-18 & military with valid ID,
If you have a group of 10 then it is only $4 per person.
If you can plan it in June, the best time to go is during the Folklife Festival. Entrance tickets are $12, $10 if bought in advance at stores like HEB. Then you can tour the inside as well as enjoy all the festivities indoors and on the grounds. I hope this helps and I hope you get to visit.
We took friends from Germany to the festival and they loved the cultural diversity represented inside as well as outside.
