According to our exhibit researchers, Los Tejanos will go back to years before the the arrival of the Spanish. One of the things the new exhibit will discuss is the Mestizo. In fact, identity and mixed cultural heritage are big themes in this new exhibit. The Canary Islanders and the establishment of San Fernando/San Antonio are mentioned in some of the more in-depth content guests can access with a computerized timeline. - James B., ITC Communications

There are exhibits of many different cultural groups who came to Texas. I do not remember how far back the history goes for the Spanish.

Well, there are exhibits that focus in the indigenous peoples of the land. Does that help? Perhaps going to the website will get you more specific info.
