    Hospicio Cabanas is a beautiful building designed by Mexican architect Manuel Tolsá in the early 19th century. It has had different uses through the years: a hospital, an orphanage, and a home for the elderly. Walk through the corridors and feel the history of the building.

    El Abajeno is a very traditional restaurant. If you really want to dive into the culture of Guadalajara, this place will surprise you with its flavor and folklore. An excellent ambience for sharing a delicious margarita together.

    • Make a reservation for 2pm so you can enjoy the Mexican dance show that starts at 4pm.

    Las Nueve Esquinas is an interesting place in Guadalajara where nine corners converge. It is famous for its 'Birria' (spicy stew) and barbecue restaurants. It is a must visit if you want to taste the typical food of the region.

    When in Guadalajara you must try the famous and traditional Torta Ahogada (a sandwich 'drowned' in chili sauce,) and Tortas Tono restaurant is the best place to go.

    Be ready to board an original Tequila train! Taking a trip on the Jose Cuervo Express is a fun way to learn about the history and traditions of Mexico, tequila production in particular. The train runs between Guadalajara and the town of Tequila and is a unique and elegant experience.
