Points of Interest

1. Mont Aiguille

Maybe the most impressive of the seven wonders of the Dauphiné. Visible from great distance this rock gives the scenery a the very special face.

2. Parking

Trailhead next to the hotel "Au Gai Soleil du Mont-Aiguille" in La Richardière. Here you find a big parking for your car under shady trees.
The round trip can also be started from Ruthière or from Trésannes.

Hotel and Restaurant build in 1720 that provides a good starting und end point for the day trip.
Here you find a bed for the night and an excellent frensh dinner in the evening.


4. Trézanne

The small picturesque village's landmark is the thatched church. A nice place for a rest bevor the ascent to the Col de Papavet

5. Col de Papavet

The Col provides great views from the northeast on the Mont Aiguille. Also a good place for a rest.

6. Pellas

Small viallage consisting only of a couple houses.

7. Col D´Aupet

Base camp for climbing the Mont Aiguille.
