Mumbai is the city winch never sleep and always on the run. The city of dreams rich and poor. prefer to stay closer to the local station which will save your time and money for commuting. If you are going from one place to other during the day always take a train roads are congested and traffic kills..Use prepaid taxis /Meru cab from airport or station for coming or leaving Mumbai if staying for long time buy the coupon for railways. you dont have stand in que for the ticket validate them on the station. while boarding the train make sure you don't board first class they have red line on the compartment(if you have second class ticket). There is chart showing which side your station will come. Beyond Bandra auto are available they don't ply between bandra and Colaba. You have to take taxi? or Bus. there are one day city tour starting at colaba or borivali. starting in the morning.they show you all the places in Mumbai. There is heritage tour of fort area take the same to know the heritage of Mumbai. Take one day tour to Elephanta caves buy ferry in front of Taj. At present Phoenix mall is big attraction for the people coming from small city spend couple of hrs.It has plenty to offer food recreation and shopping. The Mumbai is famous for the theater and they have many of them NCPA,Prithvi theater. Beware of pickpocket while travelling in train. Try Vada pav /Misal the famous food of Mumbai. Try visiting Essel world and Imagica if you have come with family and children it will take one day each.
