Google mapping directions will get you to this point. Many people drive Dishpan Springs 4x4 Trail first that ends here (available as eGuide from FunTreks). Both trails are difficult but relatively short and can be run together in the same day.

2. Turn Right

You'll drive easy road 3N16 for about 2.8 miles east. When you reach a paved switchback, look for Holcomb Creek Trail on the right marked as 3N93. The trail starts with a rocky boulder field called the Rock Garden.

3. Difficult Boulder Field

Pass through another challenging stretch of boulders.

4. Forest Road 2N06X

Forest Road 2N06X goes left here to Lower Largo Flats. Main route continues north.

5. Root Hill

Challenging section of big tree roots.

6. Last Crossing of Holcomb Creek

You'll drop down deep moguls and cross Holcolm Creek for the last time.

7. Trail Ends

Difficult part of Holcomb Creek ends at Forest Road 3N14. Right takes you to town of Fawnskin at Big Bear Lake. Left connects to John Bull Trail (Available as eGuide from FunTreks).
