Points of Interest

1. Point 1

From the end of West Street near the Bull Inn pub, take road signposted Flood Lane. After a while the road opens out on to a grassy area. Follow track past white posts.

2. Point 2

Turn right to walk along Brent Hill (you should see the spire of Faversham Church in the distance ahead). At the end of Brent Hill, turn right and then take the path on the left running alongside houses beside the creek (Front Brents). Follow along creek past the Albion pub.

3. Point 3

Cross over a small footbridge and follow the surfaced path alongside a wall near houses. Path enters into an alleyway for a short section

4. Point 4

At the end of the alleyway, come out onto a road and head across to driveway on the right, near house ahead. Follow down track (signposted as Saxon Shore Way). Path opens out into field. Keep following ahead with bushes on the right.

5. Point 5

Bear right to follow Saxon Shore Way signposting (do not continue ahead). Keep to wall. Turn right to follow signposting to creek ahead.

6. Point 6

Go through kissing gate and follow path alongside wall to the waterside. Turn left to follow signposting alongside creek past "Oyster Bay House" on the right. Follow the path alongside the creek as it takes you out across the marshes. You will encounter another 5 similar kissing gates along this path.

7. Point 7

Go through gate and past the Shipwrights Arms pub. Follow the path around the pub, crossing over track to continue ahead. Pass shipyard and moorings alongside the creek on your right.

8. Point 8

Continue ahead following the Saxon Shore Way signposting and keeping to the well-worn path as it winds behind boats.

9. Point 9

Come to the end of the track and turn right to follow surfaced road.

10. Point 10

Follow the track past first turning until it reaches a main road. Turn left to follow road along the pavement past factories on the right. Follow this road all the way back to Faversham (passing primary school en-route).

11. Point 11

Continue ahead past the Old Priory down Davington Hill. At the bottom near Davington Ponds, turn left to follow the road taking you back to West Street where you started.
