Points of Interest

1. Put-In

This little put-in is big enough for a couple rafts at a time, but not an army. Make sure you have arrangements for a car shuttle down to Moose Park for the take-out.

No facilities here, so make sure you bring what you need. And you'll be here for a bit while someone takes care of the car shuttle.

2. Huge Desert Towers

These sandstone towers are the last remnants of hundreds of feet of stone eroded over the millennia in this area.

3. Sunset on Towers

As you head downstream, watch the sunlight play on the landscape around you.

4. Rapids

This little rapid is easy to skirt around, but you can head through it if you want. It's a fun little ride, though you can flip if you don't know what you're doing.

5. Other Boaters

You're likely to see a lot of other boaters here, this is a popular stretch of water since it's so close to Moab. Make friends, the boating community is one of the most outgoing groups I've been involved with over the years.

6. Big Sunset Cliffs

These cliffs light up at sunset, while the rest of the canyon is in shadow already.

7. Take-out

This is a great spot for a BBQ when you get off the water. There's a large sandy beach on the riverbank, with plenty of trees to tie boats off. In addition, there are bathrooms and parking.
