Arrived very tired after a 5.5 hours bus ride from Dalat, but there was nobody at the reception to check me in, the door was locked up tight with a sign giving a phone number to call the owner Mr. Tan, I tried calling him multiple times and nobody ever picked up the phone, I even tried texting and emailing him and received no response. After about 30 minutes of waiting outside, still no one appeared, so I decided to grab a drink while waiting for him at a nearby Mexican restaurant, I came back about 50 minutes later and there was still NOBODY at reception. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and then I realized that I had a local SIM card which I bought in Da Nang for booking Grab taxis, so I tried calling him from that number, he answered immediately and said he will come very soon…. I was like WTF?! So obviously he was deliberately ignoring my previous calls???
Five minutes later, a woman(not sure if she's the owner's mom or family or whatever) finally showed up, but she didn't even bother to apologize for making me wait. I was mad and asked why did they not answer my calls, she just pretended that she didn't understand what I was talking about.
The room looks nice outside but it’s very outdated inside. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable like sleeping on the floor, there were tons of mosquitoes at night, tiny bugs were crawling on the bed, stained bath towel, no kettle, no hot water for shower, no hair dryer. All night I could hear rats running around above my head in the ceiling. This was horrible!!
The place should be shut down... Very shabby, dirty and unprofessional!! Save yourself the trouble and GO ELSEWHERE!!
What an amazing guy!! The room was nice, basic but functional, air con or fan options available and a lovely resort, well presented and obviously looked after... but my highlight was the owner! Genuinely the nicest man I have encountered in the time I have backpacked around Vietnam, SO willing to help and speaks so highly of where he lives! He told us some great places to go, all the options of how to get there, which busses we could get to where, how much we should pay, drew out places on a map he thought we would like and gave us a card with his number on Incase we had any trouble communicating with anyone speaking little English, because his English was fantastic! He said he takes classes so he can help his guests the most he can, what a dedicated and passionate guy! I would most definitely return, just for this place alone! Well done to them! They helped us book our onward bus to Da Lat also with such ease :)
We stayed at this hotel during Vietnam Tet, so our room price was much higher than it normally would be. Even so, it was good value for money. Basic but clean room. There was a nice seating area just outside the door to each unit. It was about a 30 minute walk from the Sinh Tourist Bus Station. We would stay there again.
We spent 3 nights here with Mr Tan. The price was very reasonable, the room clean and the bed comfortable. Each room has a small patio overlooking the garden where butterflies and songbirds are frequently present. It is in a good central area for restaurants and Mr Tan will organise tours for you.
There are laundry services close by. Due to erosion you need to walk south for about 15 minutes to the beach, but this is the off season.
Right in the heart of Mui Ne, this little hotel is lovely with a great garden (equipped with hammocks and lots of seating areas). You can book tours at the next door travel agent (Green Travel); the sand dunes tour is great! The room was spacious with good storage space.
