This resort has lots of potential but at this time it's going through major renovations. There are no adequate facilities including a swimming pool. The gardens are beautiful and there's lots of wildlife to observe but the beach is too rough for swimming. The foyer and public areas including the restaurant have no airconditioning so it's unpleasant to use them especially when heat and humidity are high. The resort is isloated so there are no restaurants or eateries nearby. The restauarant meals are too expensive for the quality of food provided and we found the venue too hot and humid during the day. However, they will cook a Singalese meal if one requests it. It's much better than the buffet. There is no cable TV, only local channels not in English. The hotel room is airconditioned, very clean and spacious but we would have liked a coffee and tea making facility in the room. Only a vacuum flask with hot water was provided each day. Also bottled water is not provided for free. The staff are polite and helpful but most have limited English but there wasn't a communication problem with them. The resort caters mostly to the customers taking the spa treatment.

We did not have any treatments due to other commitments but everyone seemed very happy with theirs. I did take the Yoga class really good.
The hotel is Lovely maybe a little dated but very comfortable, beds just perfect only thing missing a kettle to make tea or coffee! We had a lovely big room and balcony facing the sea and the enormous garden that leads down to a beautiful empty beach. There is also a big outside pool

We booked with booking.com but before I had called the hotel to ask a couple of questions and casually said would be playing golf next door ,I proceeded to book. A few hours later we got a call from a lovely young man Lakmal who asked had we booked the wrong hotel? It appears there are two Oasis hotels in towns with very similar names, when he saw a copy of all bookings he remembered a lady who had talked about golf so phoned us up to see if we were the same people to check had we booked the correct hotel. We had not so quickly changed the booking to the correct hotel and thanked him on our arrival. I call that wonderful service and a young man who should be appreciated by his company for being on the ball!

We really enjoyed our stay, the lovely food and the great service from all the staff,we will hopefully be back there again next year.

You are isolated from everything. The staff is probably nice but don’t talk much. Pool was nice. Beach walk nice. Looks dangerous to swim. The Buffett didn’t look good. Desk got us a tuk tuk and took us to a nice lunch. He waited for us. This place looks like it has maybe declined.

“Loved it, You can have Ayurveda treatment if you wish we did not book any but the atmosphere of the hotel is very calm, the staff were so good very helpful and friendly. We had a really lovely stay food good and the price amazingly good .Great large pool large garden with a good number of loungers and a beach that goes on for miles. no faults only thing missing is a kettle in the room to make tea.”
