The service from the staff was good, the location is also perfect, the room is spacious and comfortable enough for one to feel at home.My only issue was the little attention put into the basic things like the fact that my bedding had old stains on the sheet that had not been washed off; the room had a stove(no utensils or pots to go with it) while a microwave makes more sense.
The place is beautiful, the owner put a lot of thought to designing the place and finishing's. Its a pity I did not have a good experience because of the service I received while staying there. From being in a room that was not cleaned properly to being moved back and forth and coming back to find my clothes moved from one room to another without being informed.
I had a really pleasant stay and really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. My room was beautiful!
The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing though - the apples were bruised; there was no fruit salad or muesli and no cheese with the salami. A bigger cold meat & cheese selection, and cheese & fruit salad will go a long way towards improving your breakfast offering.
The drain in the shower in my room (nr 10) was unfortunately blocked and all the water spilled out on the floor and seeped down to the floor below. If not already seen to this should be fixed immediately. These 2 points detracted from a stay that would otherwise have been excellent.
My colleague says this is not quite what it used to be! But I was quite happy: Very modern room with all the things you would expect. And a TV in the bathroom!
They have a restaurant with good food. No need to travel; eat - drink - sleep! The only disappointment was that breakfast is served from 7 am and our chef arrived well after 7! When on business you need to have punctual service!!
We had immediately moved out of Roche House due to total lack of customer care and luckily found that the Gallery had a room for us as well as a table for us at their restaurant. Both were first prizes. The reception from Justice was friendly, efficient and very welcoming. The room had all the necessary amenities except I personally would prefer a full length mirror somewhere in the room.
We went to the restaurant and decided that we would share the sushi salmon roses as "this is Queenstown - they could not make good sushi!" Well what a n amazing surprise. Thank you so much Abongile. Your salmon roses are better than thos in Cape Town and Durban! Keep up your amazing standard of food prep. Our mains and shared dessert was also excellent although I did not care for the chocolate truffles. Thank you so much for the dessert wine. Service from Fundo was amazing as well. She is really well trained and anticipates a patrons needs. If you have time to spend in Queenstown go straight to The Gallery Guesthouse and restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
