We stayed here at the end of August for 4 nights with half board. The owners, Patrizia and Claudia, and staff are incredibly helpful and organized. Free bus passes, directions, helpful hints, guided hikes if you're interested, weather reports every morning, laundry for a reasonable fee - they are helpful in every way possible. The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was spacious and comfortable, with wonderful mountain views. The breakfasts offer so many choices and excellent quality food. Dinners here are incredible - impeccable service and top notch food. One note: The town is quite busy in summer, so if you sleep with the windows open and you're a light sleeper, there's often noise from people out late. With no air conditioning and hot August temps, we had to sleep with open windows, but we had brought our white noise machines, so we slept fine. And the streets do quiet down as it gets later. The hotel is also a convenient 10 minute walk to the cable car for access to great mountain hiking. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The attention to detail here is evident in everything. From meals to housekeeping, this place is absolutely wonderful. I wish all hotels were run with such care. Highly recommended.
We spent a week at the Schwarzer Adler Hotel in March. We stayed there for sking with our family and friends and rented 2 appartments. They were impecaby clean and comfortable. The bueatiful view at Dolomites from the bedroom was outstanding. Patrizia and Claudia, the owners of the place, gave us a very warm welcome, and helped with everything we needed. Schwarzer Adler is definately a beautiful and cosy place to stay at, handled with a personal touch! We will definately go back there.
We stayed here before a wedding for a couple of nights, and had a great day.
The service was exceptional and very helpful providing maps, bus passes etc.
The room was spotlessly clean and beds comfortable, and the balcony had a view over the mountain.
A fantastic stay and we wish we could have stayed for longer.
We stayed a week in the room Elfentraum and loved it. Nice room with good sized bathroom with shower, and very good closet space. Clean and cozy. The balcony was south facing and had great views and good sun. It was very quiet and relaxing.
The service was impeccable. Big thanks to the family Mutschlechner and their employees that they made our stay so cozy. Very good food, compliments to the chef. Shuttlebus to the ski lift was a 1-minute walk from the hotel. To walk to the ski lift took 7-8 minutes and was perfectly fine, with walkway past the church and a small residential area across a small footbridge. Great roof terrace with chairs, tables and lounge chairs. Nice little bar and winter garden. We also appreciated the newsletter that lay at our breakfast table every morning. It contained weather forecasts for the next few days and suggestions on activities in the neighborhood.
We hope to come back next year.
Five of our family stayed here for two nights, arriving early on Christmas day. We were warmly greeted at the front desk, where they took our bags and kept them for us while we explored the area. The hotel is ideally situated close to the ski area, less than a ten minute walk. Picturesque does not begin to describe how beautiful this place is!
The rooms are spotless and well maintained. Our rooms both had balconies with very nice views. The internet and television service were both outstanding.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both exceeded our expectations. The dining room staff were friendly, courteous, and multi-lingual, which helped because two of our family members don't speak Italian or German very well.
From the time we walked in the door, until it was time for us to get back on the road, we have nothing but praise for this hotel and its staff.
