We stayed at the Corali for a week in August. The best thing is the warmth of the staff, they are all so incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean, the gardens are beautiful with so many varieties of colourful plants and amazing cactus. There is a large really crystal clear pool and a great bar area and pizza oven that serve the most delicious and huge pizzas. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Greece and this was one of the best for staff and great value!
The location is great , over looking the beach but the rooms rooms are cramped , dated and tired looking . The owner said a frequent had been delayed due to Covid , so perhaps they could drop the price of the rooms until its completed . There was an issue with my room that I raised with the owner and while she listened and sounded surprised she never offered an apology when I left , which was disappointing as the rest of the time she had been pleasant and helpful . The bar area and restaurant are really nice as is the breakfast area and pool . The breakfast was very good and the rest of the staff are pleasant and helpful so I think with a a major refurb of the rooms then this would be value for money . I’m now staying in a modern 3 star hotel in Santorini with great facilities for the same price .
Our third time visit to this warm, welcoming hotel. Its situation could not be better. Very close to the port, with its wide choice of good restaurants and with its own beach , sunbeds and shades.
Basically , you have three choices to make in Ios , Mylopota beach for a party , the Chora for charm and some partying ,or the port for a slightly more sedate stay in one of the prettiest port areas you could imagine.
The Corali has a good bar and restaurant where Pizzas are a speciality. It also has an excellent pool. Some rooms face seaward but most are pool view.
Breakfast is OK with some local produce . It would maybe benefit from more hot items , but that is a personal preference.
This place is one fixture on our sojourns around the Greek Islands and the welcome from Sharon , Leah and the team is always assured
We only stayed for 3 nights which was plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see on Ios but this would be a great hotel for a relaxing week away. iOS itself is much cheaper than its neighbours of Mykonos and Santorini and a lot more authentically Greek.
Firstly it is walking distance from the ferry port. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with air con and daily housekeeping.
There is a restaurant on site which I have reviewed separately but suffice it to say we had a great meal here.
The pool is plenty big enough for the amount of guests and the hotel ensure their stretch of the beach is cleaned every morning which impressed us.
I would have given it full marks if the shower in our room had been an overhead shower. Might seem a bit petty but everyone has their own deal breakers.
Otherwise I would strongly recommend and if travel plans allow we will definitely return.
We stated for 6 days on Ios. The hotel was so accommodating. They helped me out when I wanted to get my engagement ring sent to Ios ahead of our holiday and when I proposed, they left a bottle of prosecco in our room with a nice note.
The room is nice and comfortable with air conditioning. The shower is big and the bed is comfortable.
The staff are friendly and you can tell they all genuinely care about the guests and providing a decent service. The pool is decent with sunbeds by the side.
You can also sit on the beach on a sun bed and drinking coffee, veer or whatever you like while you relax.
The Corali is very worth staying in.
