I must say that Penang should be proud to have such an awesome hotel.
We had stayed in Lexis Hibiscus and Grand Lexis in Port Dickson, but I guess my wife and myself preferred here.
Checked in time is 4pm but we had our room at about 6pm. Completely understand that it is the school holidays weekend.
The Front desk staffs were very composed but never had the chance to meet up with their manager, whom was busy talking and explaining to the guest comforting and assuring them that their rooms will be ready.
Entering our room made me understand why rooms can sometimes be delayed as it was huge, more than 900 sq feet, the size of an apartment with pool and steam room, standard feature for all the suites.
Breath taking view of the horizon and you can just laze and watch planes landing. Kids loved it, had so much fun that they eat and drink all day long by the pool in the suite.
Freebies in the minibar was nice.
Surrounding fisherman's village with a long jetty was really cool, especially for my wife and me whom frequently travels KL/Singapore for work. The kampong folks were so friendly, offering to take us for and fishing trip for free.
Service was very friendly making us feel very welcome, food was good, even though breakfast was crowded during the school holidays weekend, it was well controlled, we were ushered to our table and we noticed they had added extra tables, neatly arranged along the entrance and balcony of Roselle coffee house, wise move.
Overall facilities and activities was okay, otherwise, go to Club Med. Spa will be opening soon and we hope it will be ready by the next school holidays in June. The kids could play in the Kids Club while we have our treatment at the Spa, which is just the opposite door away, good thinking.
We noticed a Gentlemen walking everywhere, restaurant, lobby, pool, even at the SkyBar close to midnight, greetings and talking to staffs and guests, ensuring all is well. Found out that he was the Hotel Manager. Didn't have the chance to meet him.
There were some minor hiccups, but they manage to sort it out very quickly. Well done to the staffs and management.
Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely comeback again and recommend to my friends and relatives..

Heard much about this hotel and decided to give it a go with the family. It is located in Teluk Kumbar, so there is not much to do nearby but the main attraction is the plunge pools within the suites anyway.

There are two categories of rooms, Executive (non-seaview) and Premium (seaview). The layout is also different, with the Premium suite offering bigger space. From the design point, I prefer the Executive Pool Suites as the bathroom is in between the pool and the room, meaning your bedroom is safe from dripping swimwear. This cannot be said for the Premium suites. To get to the bathroom, you have to pass by the rooms. Very messy and I hope the hotel could open a small door for direct access to the bathroom in the next upgrade.

The suite was comfortable, with 2 king-beds and could fit 4 adults comfortably (we were 2 kids and 2 adults so it was perfect). The pool is 1.2m deep and is in the open so when it becomes windy, it could be chilly. And the hotel is located in a windy area. There is also a steam room near the pool for the adults.

On the 8th floor, you get facilities like children's play area, a games room (with fusball and a pool table for RM5 a game). You could also have board games like Chess, Jenga, Scrabble for free. There is also a ping-pong table outside the gym. The main pool is also located here but their biggest nightmare is the bougainvillea leaves that keep dropping into the pool.

If you are choosing rooms, do not take the Premium rooms 904, 905, 906 or at least ask if your view is obstructed. These are the only rooms I know that have an extended balcony (which you can't get on) after the glass partition so your view of the sea is blocked by steel bars. Rooms on other floors would not have this problem. Also, the corner rooms (like 904) have a bit more wind due to the opening on the side (better view to the side but colder for when the kids get out of the pool).

The Spa is worth a try, very relaxing and not freezing cold so you could really unwind and relax while the kids are taken care of in the play area.

We tried the breakfast on the second morning at RM35 nett for adults and RM20 nett for children. Conclusion was that the breakfast was not worth it. The miso soup was too salty, the yoghurts were not replenished and the coffee was from a glass pot on a hotplate. We are willing to travel a bit (15 minutes) to Balik Pulau to have some nice Assam Laksa.

Overall, the hotel has great facilities, a passable location and a big attraction in the form of in-room pools. The challenge for the hotel is to train certain pockets of staff to give guests a better sense of welcome while staying here.

Let's start by saying, this is the most unique hotel you will likely ever stay in for the price. In room pool and steam bath. Breakfast is ok. Beds and linen are of the highest standard.

Amee and Annie in the spa massage are extremely welcoming and talented with over 20 years of physio experience to major celebrities - and it truly is exemplified in their massage treatment. I challenged Amee to remove muscle knots from an aggressive morning workout... She did not disappoint. Beyond their skills, as a tag team - they are friendly, professional and give a unique vibe.

Back to the hotel, other than an average breakfast, the location is reasonably good with access to scenic routes around. It's not in the hustling and bustling bit of Penang, but this may be a good relaxing get away.

Hi Bobby! There is a power plug nearby the area, but we cannot confirm if it's triple or dual pin, and what the voltage requirements are. This plug is used for internal maintenance of the pools. There are 3 pin power sockets in the rooms for guests' usage.

Yes, the private pool is not heated, as for the food delivery you can search for food delivery applications to install the on your mobile phone and order food through them, such as panda or grab food. The hotel is around 12-15 minutes away from the city center where are most of the restaurants located. From my experience, the hotel served steamed rice for breakfast.

you can enjoy total privacy😊 no body can see from sides...however you still can hear the sound / noise from other room private pool. meaning that other ppl can hear you too. inside the room sound proof is quite good.
