If you’re frequent traveller like me I suggest don’t put high expectation as the price showing doesn’t reflect what they have to offer. With level 5 TA contributor and lvl 7 hotel expert in TA I will not suggest anyone to go there. Forget it.
I’ve stayed in other international 5 stars hotels and resorts - Sheraton, Marriott, Shangri-la and so on and never get as disappointing as this one.
1. Check in time is after 4.00pm. Really? Yes! We arrived at the hotel at 2.00PM after long drive and the room wasn’t ready, promised to call when it’s ready turns out Never had. so my parent decided to go to equatorial hotel and straight away can have some rest with more than half rate than this hotel offer.
2. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. +1 star
3. Private pool is great, toiletries was sufficient but the floor was dusty and hot water was barely hot and turns out to be cold after half bathtub filled. Made in china furnitures everywhere.
4. Walkway to the room never been cleaned, a lot of dust and mould.
5. Was interested with the spa but not properly attended as they said it’s fully booked with 2 persons. Almost hardly laughed. 2 pax max????
6. There is no interesting place nearby. None. If you’d like to stay in the room the whole time yes this is right for you. No nightlife activities except sky bar at level 25 offers some entertainment. If you’re moslem I dont recommend.
7. The best part was even tho the room can easily fits 4 pax adult, they’re actually reserved for 2 pax only. Breakfast only for 2 pax. Additional charge is applicable for extra pax. Funny thing is even 3 stars hotel never mind providing all guests with free breakfast. I have to add another RM50 charge to my card as I have 2 children.
8. Finally our drink was filled with huge fly. After they charge me extra for breakfast they gave me extra free gift! Fly inside my drink!! What kind of hotel charge you with this ridiculous price while their hygiene worse than mamak restaurants? Please refer my photo.
Overall stay was terrible. The only thing they can offer is that private pool and well trained staff. If you don’t mind to spend extra money for the pool please go ahead. If I know this earlier I’d go to Rasa Sayang or Golden Sands by Shangri-la or some other 4 stars hotels in Georgetown.
I was expecting perfect stay as I paid too much for this. RM700/night is comparable to 2 days stay in some Sheraton or Shangri-la which have proven world class hotels/resort. Disappointing.

Okay, actually the room is quite nice designed but lack everything to make your stay pleasant. Located farther than far far away, you might think this is a good place to relax, just as we do... keep reading.
Okay, the pool that look gorgeous at the photo, its small, and the water is dirty and full of dead critters, not only at the pool, the balcony, the steam room is the same. You better not going out.
The staff is not polite... not even try to look at you when they pass you or even when they are inside the same lift with you. Snotty from all level of staff from security to front office. When i arrive, the helpfull security staff help me to carry my luggage,....only to going through two step of ladder and then he left. When we go out or coming in to hotel, they usually throw their face to see other direction rather than greet you
The towel is dirty... check before you used yours
The toiletries is cheapish, the jetwasher? I only see this kind of jetwasher at cheap shopping center of bus terminal
The tv only have few channel and the way they design it inside a black glass make the tv really dimmed and eye straining
The housekeeping take your bathmat and didnt replace it
The crowd is noisy... full of scream and shout as if zombie apocalypse is happening there
The food is unbearable...breakfast is super lousy with no staff to seat you, no plate, cutleries only consist of fork and spoon with no knife.. no plain water for breakfast. Limited option of food. Stalled bread. The second day of our stay its improved but believe me when i said its not 5 star, not even 4star bfast. Its a kind of 2 stsr bfast here.
Dont make me start about the foolish choice of design with the white marble color paired with a purple wall color and jaded dirty blue chair and chocolate table in the breakfast area... or the huge blue glasses lamp that looks like a crowd of cucumbers in the lobby. The designer should not only be fired but should be stopped designing ever again
Think the free breakfast is bad, just wait until you try their restaurant, their so called japanese restaurant, umi, will show you a picture perfect menu book but wait until you food show up... a cheap sushi king chain will taste like a michelin star restaurant after you eat here. The food is that bad. The gyudon is cold and with a raw egg on top of it im struggling to even eat few spoon. The teriyaki salmon? Hard as stone and plain as plain water. And your problem is that you dont have any other option there as its farther than far far away.
The sky bar at 24th floor? We go up there and it feels like, again, a scene from walking dead
Wanna run away from the hotel, within walking distance, the only seafood restaurant next to it served average food with dirty utensil
The conclusion is, this hotel lack substance. It looks good on picture but the real deal is not. You wont enjoy it, believe me. Almost all guest is malaysian and they stay there with car to escape this hell. The guest like us is stranded here
Your call, i told you, its up to you to believe or not. There is a lot other better place to stay at penang. Dont waste your money here. No value at all

We (a family with 2 young children, 7yrs old and 3 yrs old) stayed in Premium Pool Suites for 3 days 2 night during school holiday. The check in time is 4pm and we reached 2.30pm, the receptionist was kind to allow us to check in earlier.
Rooms are equipped with towels, bathroom kits, pool towel x2, kettle, hair dryer, iron, safety box, small fridge with free soft drinks and candy.
One thing we really don't like about the room is that there are no lock for the doors of bathroom and toilet.
As for complementary breakfast, try to go early as you will find no replenishment of food after 9.30am. Free breakfast for kids.
Staffs were friendly and helpful. We celebrated my girl's birthday there. Everything was great. Children enjoyed the pool in room and bathtub so much.
Even though it is a beachfront hotel, but the beach is not clean for swimming or playing sand. Good thing is you can find lots of shells.
There's a seafood restaurant beside the hotel. You just have to walk over. The beach after the seafood restaurant is slightly cleaner.

One room only for 2 breakfast. You have to ask front desk how much they charge for breakfast. But they have a good spread of food to choose from. Yes, just walk in no need reservation.
