Certainly better than I expected. Service at the front desk is certainly slow but it is whole hearted. Run by a small number of staff they surprise you with good service level. The rooms are very big as well as the bathroom area. I did not find A/C in the room. The food downstairs comes with a Colombian twist. Worth trying

The hotel is on the main square of Huelgoat by the church. We had a warm welcome from the French-Colombian couple who are the hotelkeepers. We loved Chambre 5, a big modern room with a big bed and a view over the town square. It also has a spacious bathroom with the latest model fixtures . The rooms here are beautifully decorated with original works of art selected by Madame Le Scraigne. Our room was a great value at 110€ including dinner and breakfast for two (the demi-pension rate). At dinner we chose among the French, Colombian and Mexican dishes on the menu. (You won't go away hungry, as the portions are big.) The hotel is a great base for visitors hiking in the Monts d’Arrée.

I can only confirm what other reviewers have said: this is a gem of a hotel: clean, spacious, beautifully furnished rooms, good soundproofing, excellent deal on meals if you choose demi-pension. The art catalogues (from the wonderful Ecole des Filles art gallery in Huelgoat) on the coffee table in my room were amazing too. I figured I'd have to cancel breakfast on my last morning as I had to catch a bus that left before the breakfast service started, but the owner would have none of it, insisting that he'd be up at 6:30 anyway. The food is good too, by the way. All in all, very professional, welcoming place.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The room was lovely, spacious, comfortable with a huge bathroom. We stayed on a deal including bed , breakfast and dinner. Dinner was excellent every night and on the night we wanted to go elsewhere they reduced the costs. At short notice the owners organised a birthday surprise cake for my husband and switched off all the lights in the restaurant to bring in the cake and candles whilst singing joyeaux anniversaire which was brilliant. The couple who run the hotel are really genuinely helpful and friendly they make your stay so enjoyable as they are happy to help with anything. The hotel is reasonably priced and offers a great dinner BB deal definitely worth a visit

We stayed here two nights in a superior room that was excellent. It was large, clean, well appointed and had a great bathroom with large walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent with juice, coffee, bread, croissants, jams, etc.

The owners are lovely and very accommodating. There was a mistake on our bill that we did not notice. The owner called my cell as soon as he found it to tell me I was overcharged and asked how I would like to handle it. His earnest manner was beyond expectations and I thank him for his honesty and prompt resolution of the problem.

We cannot recommend this establishment highly enough and would return there anytime we are in area.
