A beautiful resort which I would characterize as modern Bali. Our room (2113) was ocean front but we also overlooked one of the many pools on the property. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff even made a special vanilla sauce for my husband's pancakes (he got the recipe). The staff at the pool and pool bar very very attentive - always checking in on us. The gym was also top notch. And the beauty of the place!! Numerous pools, art installations, and wonderfully appointed gardens and grounds. The perfect place to relax.

Stayed here 6 nights in a standard room.

Had booked a hotel pickup from our other hotel. We arrived at around 1 pm and the room was not ready, which some would expect when they knew at what time we were coming due to the arrange car pickup. Then again the hotel seemed quite full.

The receptionist took all our details and charged the deposit and said that the room would be ready in 20 minutes. He then noted our phone number to call us when it was ready. After an hour when they had not contacted us I went to the front desk, which was now staffed by another receptionist, who did not know we had checked in already and tried to take us through the whole process again, including handing us the welcome note and trying to charge us the deposit... Anyway, we got our room and on the positive note, we got the exact room that I had requested in advance (a standard garden room but in a specific location).

So off to a bumpy start with check-in.

Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The wifi could have been a bit faster as we had issues some times with streaming. The complimentary water bottles provided were glass bottles, which is a nice detail, and something I would wish more hotels would have.

The gym was adequately equipped.

I was disappointed to find out that the the sauna and steam room were unavailable as the block containing the spa facilities was being renovated. Since no notice had been posted on the hotel website regarding the steam room and sauna not being available I brought the issue up with the GM who made sure appropriate service recovery was provided.

The breakfast at this hotel is great! We especially liked the large range provided including a good range of warm dishes with different proteins. They also had guava juice which I think should be a minimum requirement for any upper range hotel in a tropical climate.

Generally the staff we were very hospitable and service minded.

I loved the long beach front and the large space between the different building blocks. This made the hotel seem much more spacious and less full, though the ongoing renovation of a whole building block of course also helped with this. Compared to the Sofitel where we went for Sunday brunch, the Conrad seemed much nicer and lees crowded. The same goes for most of the hotels we passed when walking along the beach. For example the Westin, Melia and Laguna all seemed to have a quite compressed beach front with too many people.

I would recommend this hotel if you need somewhere to relax.

Dear Rasmus P, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm pleased to know you were happy with a great many aspects of our offerings and services, from our spacious rooms and extensive breakfast choices to the facilities and amenities provided, though I do appreciate your feedback on our Internet speed. On top of that, I'm glad our team showed great hospitality throughout your stay too. On another note, while our standard check-in hour, especially during peak periods is at 3pm, we do try our very best to accommodate early check-ins as well. Please accept my sincere apologies if you did not experience our usual flawless arrival service. Indeed the room readiness at arrival could have been better prepared and should not have impacted your stay experience. I have discussed your feedback with the team and trust that corrective action has been taken to avoid similar issues happening again in the future. Having said that, I look forward to welcoming you back next time for a renewed, improved and much more seamless all-round experience. With Regards, Andreas Justkowiak General Manager

A beautiful hotel with wonderful grounds, full of water features and Frangipani trees. The breakfast is nothing short of sensational and the executive room that we were given, was second to none; with top quality toiletries and always impeccably clean. I loved the Balinese robes and we found there was absolutely nothing we wanted throughout our stay.

The gym was great. Cold towels etc. Afternoon tea was very good and so were cocktails in the evening.

Staff are some of the most service orientated I have ever come across. Special mention to all the ladies at afternoon tea in the Japanese restaurant and indeed at cocktail time in the executive lounge...thankyou for making everything so special for my daughter I appreciate it so much.

Humble thanks to the the extremely personable manager and and lady who checked us out. I really enjoyed our chat and laughter!

What a great hotel!

The hotel building is old, the beach in front of the hotel is dirty and the breakfast food is not tasty. But it’s a really child friendly hotel. They offer many kids activities. The gym is also nice and the swimming pool is big.

Dear nhawadiya, Thank you for leaving us your honest feedback. I'm happy to note that you were impressed with our facilities but I appreciate your well-meaning comments on our breakfast spread and the upkeep of our hotel. Rest assured our culinary team will be informed of this for further improvement. Also, while the beach is public property, we'll do our best to limit any pollution in that area although we may just be able to influence this to a limited extent. I hope we'll have another opportunity to welcome you back for a renewed stay and with significant upgrades in place. With regards, Andreas Justkowiak General Manager

Never expected to have such a great time here. This hotel has everything you fancy about an islands accommodation. For example, it has comprehensive function buildings that can taste different requests here: tennis club, gyms for sports, three restaurants.

Let alone the wide landscape that can allow you to explore the building crowd and the design of swimming pool makes me satisfied most for its length and good connection with land. By the way, the services here is very sound. Last but not least, it has its own beach surrounded winded!

I stayed here for two days and wish to come back again.

Ps: Thanks for Trisna and a lady in the lobby who provided help to me.

We are right now on Bali and stay at the suite area, and there are no renovations going in this area, all renovantions take place at the main lobby area, however, I have been informed that from April most of the pool area will be closed for renovation, a small part will remain open, also a wing is closed for renovation plus the large restaurant, from April at least a lot more renovations going on. It is a child friendly resort, there is a kids club. The beach is not the most beautiful beach on Bali but easy to access directly from the resort, many rocks in the sea and rough beach sand, also the hotel is not the owner of the beach and many local people who are very pushy trying to sell water sports activities, thats is unfortunate. There are no free activities such as yoga
