I came for three days and stayed for nearly two weeks. It would have been longer if I hadn't had to get back to work.

My room was on the ground floor overlooking the pool. It was quiet, spacious and clean with plenty of closet space and a full-size fridge. There was a large TV and the WiFi worked well.

The room was perfect for the little restaurant across from my room which served an excellent breakfast and it was also perfect for the pool. There are tables and chairs right outside to sit on the patio area.

The staff were efficient and friendly and took care of any requests or problems quickly. I was in Merida for medical treatment and at The Suites Flamboyanes (less than two blocks from the Clinica de Merida) I felt safe, comfortable and relaxed.

I had a wonderful stay. This hotel is not central for those who want to be in the hub of tourist attractions near the main square and cathedral but taxis pass very frequently and are cheap (about 40 pesos to the cathedral). The hotel has a wonderful colonial Mexican feel about it and I would definitely return.

Thanks to all of you at the hotel!

This hotel has some very charming features. When you walk up from the front, you really wouldn't think much of it, but our hotel room was amazing. It had such beautiful detail with the furniture, molding, ceiling. However, while the staff was cleaning, I peaked inside some of the other rooms, and they seemed to be more updated and didn't have this charm; these rooms were still nice nonetheless. The hotel's pool is small but is pretty gorgeous; it seems to fit perfectly with the style of the hotel. The staff were OK; the front desk agent did speak English which made life easier since our Spanish is very weak. The hotel also offers amenities such as razors complimentary, which you don't see very often.

The location seems fine-ish, but it was like a 35-40 minute walk into the city center, so if that is your destination, I might think twice.

The hotel does advertise a parking lot, but it is actually like space for 3 or 4 cars in front of the hotel; however, the street parking was free immediately adjacent to the hotel.

Overall, I liked the hotel, and when I return, I will probably be staying here again if I choose to stay within the Merida city limits.

We went to Merida for medical care. While there I lost my wallet. I was beside myself. The front desk woman was very patient with me while helping to make calls so that I could function while in Merida. Eventually it was found by a maid on hotel grounds and retuned with all its money and credit cards.

The location was very good being within a few blocks of the Merida Hospital where my care was received. There are several reasonably priced restaurants near by, including Subway. Directly across the street is a chicken restaurant which serves the best roasted chicken that I have ever tasted.

The rooms are large, clean and of pleasant décor. Ours had 3 double beds for the reasonable price of $50. There is a restaurant which serves a nice breakfast and offers a poolside view. I swam in the pool which was very clean with both a shallow and deep ends.

We will be returning to Merida again and plan on staying at this hotel again.
