We loved this hotel from the moment we stepped in.
The place is gorgeous, clean and the staff is very friendly. The location is perfect and the beach was our favorite hang out spot. The pool is also stunning and has plenty of space. My favorite thing about this hotel is how small it is, so it feels more comfortable than a big crowded place.
Only a few things bothered us like the noise from the waste removal (septic) truck that is very loud (we were told it would come by only every 15 days, but came back only two days later) - not really anything the hotel can do about it, but I do wish we were aware of it in advance; also I wish they would put signs when the cleaning crew is cleaning the floors as I was not aware that the stairs were wet and fell several steps and hurt my hand; a full size mirror would also have been great in the room.
Other than that, everything was great and we had a wonderful time. We would come back, but definitely choose a different room.
We booked 4 nights here, and wouldn't have changed a thing. The chic and minimal design evoke a very serene and relaxing response in the experience of the guests. Beautiful colors and textures. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the pristine beach and the breakfast and lunch were both delicious and nutritious (we did not have dinner at the hotel)! The front desk was super accommodating, assisting us in the rental of electric bikes, booking of massages and securing restaurant reservations.
The room was simple and very clean, again we found the smooth textures and light colors very relaxing, and we had a great view of the pool (we booked a master suite). Tulum is a very special place for us, and our stay at Casa Pueblo Boca Paila this time made it even more special. We hated having to leave.
We will definitely return to this hotel....SOON!
Great location on the beach, at the quiet end. Amazing pool area which is instagram worthy, lovely restaurant and private beach with big comfy sun loungers and seating areas, very relaxing. Breakfast and cocktails were great. Nice surprise welcome cocktail on arrival and were able to check in early. We also had complimentary massages through our mr & mrs smith booking which was good.
However our 1 night stay was let down by the room - we were in one of the garden rooms which granted, was the cheapest but it was still £300 a night so we had high expectations! It smelled of damp and drains, it was meant to have a private garden but the doors just looked out onto some plants in reception and the back of the pool which couldn’t be opened. We could see the ones at the front of the property had courtyard gardens so this was a shame, perhaps they were better. Massive cockroach also found in room when checking in. Located by reception so it was loud as guests came in and out and also close to the generator which was loud in the morning. We told the receptionist on leaving about the smell but they just shrugged it off which was disappointing. If the room has been better it would have been 5/5 -Just avoid room 3!
I had the chance to visit Tulum a few times over the past few years and this was by far my favorite stay for many reasons:
- Perfect location in one of the best spots of the beach near by my favorite restaurants (Hartwood and Arca)
- Very clean rooms beautifully furnished and with nice sheets and amenities – it matters in Tulum as many hotels are old and not really well kept
- Gorgeous pool to lay around when it gets too hot on the beach
- Food at the restaurant is simple and delish
Overall I loved that the hotel was stylish yet still modern and comfortable which is rare in Tulum
Need a bathroom door and a small piece of furniture to organize clothes and personal stuff!
Already planning my next stay there!
We found this boutique hotel in Condé Nast traveler.
Quite new and only open for two month.
We checked in on Thursday the 19th and out on the 26th.
The location is unbeatable, in the middle of Tululum beach with sand white as snow.
Easy to take a Taxi from Cancun airport.
(170$ one way.)
Design is really world class, cool, estetic and chick. A nice Move-kind of pool, warm clean. Good when the seaweed sweeps in. To be honest this a really nice part of the beach, so I only used the sea. Andy took a few dips in the pool and liked it.
Rooms: We only stayed in one. You really fall in love with the sober colors. Very, very nice. Clean. Love the beds and extra pillows.
Don’t forget adapters if you come from Europe. However you can buy them them in the local store for 4$.
Food: Feel very local. Big portions, good for us foodies. The quality was super. High standard. We also stayed over Christmas dinner, so sweet they really made the effort. Maybe a dessert would be nice to include for next Holiday. ;)
Drinks: Same as above.
Service: This is a small Hotell that makes you feel friend to the staff and waiters. The do indeed do a wonderful job.
We gave 10$ tip every day, even though tip always is included in this hotel at 15%.
We felt like family.
Room for improvement:
1. The waiters was so keen to give good service it became a bit irritating when they asked if you were okay every 15 minutes.
2. The room was close to the generator that made hugh sounds. Some guest was angry about this and changed rooms. We wanted to, and the staff really helped us, but the room we were offered smelled of mold. So we stayed with the noice.
3. No door to the bath room?! I mean like, NO I don’t want to hear my boyfriend do no 2. Door yes please.
4. The hangers to our close was in metal and most of our white clothes was destroyed by the iron. Don’t use them.
Overall four stars of five, amazing design, nice staff and location. A true pearl in Tulum, you feel very welcome and the staff invites everyone no matter if you are a hotel quest or not.
Extremely comfy beds.
The folks in reception do a marvelous job, cool, helpful and so sweet.
We love this a lot and will come back.
