I stayed here a few times because of location but it's a strange creepy place and dirty. I'm the room I stayed in the shower stall was filthy and I declined using it. The hostess Jamini is very suspicious of guests and kept asking me questions that were none of her business and kept trying to tell me about her sick.mother in law. She kept watching.me and each time I left she asked where I put the key when she knows I always leave it in the room as she requested. She puts a sign on the door saying the hotel is full and nobody is there but me. Everytime she wants to tell.me something she starts hollering my name instead of knocking on the door. These people are just.looking for easy money. I'm surprised they're still in business. Pay the same rate and get a much nicer place elsewhere. I felt like I threw my money down the toilet staying here.
We cannot thank Jamini enough for her help & support....she is so proactive...you will be in great hands....why is she is good?...Jamini actually stood in a parking space outside the hotel (FREE for 4 days!!) when we arrived to ensure we could secure the spot....WOW!...she provided her personal number to ensure we had 24/7 contact...she responded to calls...texts...within minutes...Jamini was present every morning before we left for our day...she also secured our bags at the hotel when we checked out at noon & only returned at 11pm...What service!!! The owner Silva is also extremely attentive to her guests following up several times prior to our arrival to verify is we had any special requests (parking was one of them)...room # 10 was great...clean..2 double beds...remote control air conditioning...cable tv..clean towels every day...looking forward to our next visit....soon...a huge thanks to you both Jamini & Silva...
I was there for three nights, and I felt good. My room was with a bathroom. Very quiet, clean and quite large. Good location, close to the old port and you reach the center in 15 minutes on foot. Unfortunately I saw Jamini only at check in time, she was not on the premises all the time.
Stayed in room 9 so we had our own bathroom and the beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft but seemed a little small for the mattress.
Parking was on the street and the woman who helped us check in helped us get a spot around the corner. She is was very pleasant.
There was a place on the ground floor with tables and a microwave and coffee maker so you could make your own breakfast.
It is relatively close to the Old Port and Chinatown.
I would stay there again.
We wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast when we were in Montreal since we are considering moving there and wanted local insight from the innkeepers. To me, the purpose of staying at B&Bs is to get a break home-cooked breakfast and get first hand local information from the owners. Neither of these happened here. The owner was not on the premises most of the time and our only interaction with her was checking in and out. There was also no breakfast served at the "B&B". We got breakfast coupons for a place several blocks down the street in the only shady part of town we saw of Montreal when we were there. The food was fine but commuting to have breakfast and then watch drug deals go down outside (literally! I'm not exaggerating!) while we were having breakfast was not the B&B experience we were looking for. To top it off, the room was only cleaned twice the week we were there, and one of the times the floor was not cleaned at all. This gets pretty gross when you walk around on bare feet.
