From the moment we arrived at Hotel Rural La Calerilla we had a wonderful experience. A very nice and pretty lady, Monica, greeted us with a smile and soon organised our room. It was a great start to my husband's birthday!

Our room was beautiful. It was large, very clean and well equipped. The same was true for the shower-room and great shower! The air-conditioning was quiet and effective.

The pool area is perfect - there's a large pool and lots of sunbeds with a choice of sun or shade, as well as six double beds under pergolas.

The grounds are beautifully kept with lots of lovely decorative features and the dining area very classy.

The location is lovely - right off the main road to/from Cazorla, yet quiet.

We didn't use the restaurant but it looked really nice and with great views.

I'd highly recommend this hotel and will be telling friends & family to come and stay here.

We have been to Cazorla national park many times but our experience at la Calerilla has by far made this time the best. After several years of eating at their great restaurant we decided to stay in the hotel and were extremely pleased with our stay.

The location is key as it is the last establishment before traveling into the national park, it reduces the journey time from Cazorla town to the sights and walks in the park by around 20mins. It has a unique location on the edge of a cliff with breathtaking views of surrounding towns, the complex is well kept and attention to details is very apparent.
The owners Monica and Jose Juan as well as the staff are extremely friendly people that made us feel very welcome and at home.
The rooms are well equiped, clean and cozy, the bed was extremely comfortable, together with the silence and fresh air it is definately very easy to get a good nights sleep, we had a ground floor room overlooking the pool and surrounding national park with our own private balcony which was great.

Over all well worth the reasonable price considering its location and very welcoming feel....An amazing place with great staff who work very hard to make you feel at home...we will definately be revisitng the place. The only downside we could say was it was too cold to enjoy the stream fed pool 😂

We stayed here for 2 days, the Casa Rural is located in the edge of the Cazorla Park, so is surrounded by natural beauty. Also, the views from the restaurant were the best!

Unfortunately, we booked a Double Room but we were given a Twin Room. The place was half empty... I don't understand why they said they were fully book and no Double Room was available.

We arrived at this hotel mid afternoon. It was quiet, and after checking in we were shown to a small but practical room overlooking the pool. As it was very hot we went down to the pool for a dip. This was refreshing and the pool was clean. Later in the evening we ate in the restaurant. We seemed to be the only ones eating, or indeed staying at the hotel that evening. The food was tasty and wholesome. We then went out onto the verandah which looks out over the village in the valley, with the Sierra Nevada in the distance. The views are spectacular and when the lanterns were lit, it created a romantic atmosphere. On returning to our room, the first thing we noticed was the heat and had to go back to reception and ask for a fan. We, instead, got a portable air conditioning unit which was very noisy, but not as noisy as the owners dog which barked (yap) for about 3 hours throughout the night. My husband actually went outside to see if he could distract it, but no sooner had he come back in, and it started again. In the morning we were completely drained. We should have been staying 2 nights but decided that we would leave. After breakfast, consisting of toast, jam and butter, we left. There was no questions asked at reception about us cancelling our second night, so I think they knew the reason for our change of plan. This hotel, in itself, is lovely. It was such a shame about our lack of sleep.
