An average Greek hotel, for a so-called superior room with a sea view (slightly obstructed by the restaurant building in front) it was reasonably basic. It was clean but the beds were hard. The staff (single member) was very friendly and helpful. There was no hot water in the shower although possibly in the summer that is not so important, the shower head pipe was leaking but was fixed within a day. A plus point was the breakfast that was very good

We stayed here while hiking in the gorge. We arrived early on the ferry but the owner was fine with the early check in. We had one deluxe room and one room with three beds. The rooms were fine and the location is great - a few steps and you are on the wonderful beach. Great view of the beach. The breakfast was good, you could choose out of a choice of set meals. Just be warned that the loungers and umbrellas on the beach are not cheap. We loved this town. At 5 p.m. everyone leaves on the ferry and you have the place to yourself.

Staying here worked out great for us. We showed up well after dark because the ferry was delayed. We just caight the helpful owner as she was locking up. The room is recently renowated. Left the doors open and saw 2 shooting stars from the bed. The breakfast is a set continental style with good coffee, yogurt with honey and the best fresh orange juice.
Keep in mind this place is bustling mid day and doesnt get many overnighters, its just the way things are in remote Roumeli.

Oh and dont forget the Alfa on draft in the frostiest mug in Chania!

We stayed here for a week on the 10th August.
We also didn't realise as we booked a few days before that you had to travel here by boat, which takes an hour and there is NO OTHER WAY!
Once we arrived checked in and sated in a room on the top floor over looking the sea and restaurant. First impression, room clean, bed clean and bathroom clean, if not very dated.
Athe at the hotel restaurant a few times and it was good, although the fish as a special was very pricey, at 19euros.
We struggled most mornings with no hot water for a shower, can only presume they are on solar panels?
The breakfast was ok, and make sure if your English take your own tea bags, this island has rubbish tea.
Clean towels every other day and beds changed every 2/3 days.
Sun loungers on beach are not free, you have to buy a drink.
We came here for our honeymoon, we loved it, I wanted to say the hotel isn't perfect but it's clean, and the cleaner is lovely! Staff lovely, happy to print off our boarding passes and book us a taxi from the boat to airport.
Make sure you have enough euros, as there is no option to change here, cards are taken in this area but they obviously like the cash!

We stayed in Agia Roumeli Hotel in July 2016. Our room was clean, comfortable and the view from our balcony was great since we could see the sea and the mountains. The Hotel staff was very kind and friendly and the Beach in front of the Hotel was amazing and perfect for kids (it had only pebbled and sand, not rocks).
