The place is located around the city pool (50 meters). On saturday afternoon the pool has transformed in a open air day&night club. It ended towards 4 am on sunday morning. It was impossible to sleep.
The hotel personnel told us that is was exceptionnal and that they did not open reservation on the party date when they were aware of them. I was impressed that they do not suggest any financial arrangement just after saying that they should not open on night like this. It was emphase by the fact that we stayed 3 consecutive nights.
Apart from the previous huge point, the rooms have a wonderfull view. The beds are correct and the room was clean. The breakfast was good and we had a honorable dinner normal. My advise avoid it at all cost during summer weekend (I open the open air night club does not open when it is cold).
Our room with a balcony was large, clean and the view was spectacular and the breakfast was good. We did observe that there are some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The entry was cluttered with leaves for 3 of the 4 days we were there. A tidier entry would make one feel more welcome. We felt for the price these things should be taken care of.
If there was a 0 star rating I would give it for the simple fact that I have never received a ruder email from an establishment I considered giving business to. After many apologies I cancelled a room reservation I made at this hotel because our party had grown and the hotel could not accommodate our new larger numbers. The response I received was unprofessional, colourful and personal to say the least! Certainly won't be considering this hotel again for future business trips.
My husband and I traveled to the region to taste wines and found this hotel here on Trip Advisor from the previous reviewer. Aside from the amazing views of the mountains, we were pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the bed was, as most of the beds we've encountered in Spain have been very hard. Seems like a small thing, but with all the travel we've done, it was a welcome change and made for a great night's sleep. The rest of the room was well-appointed with free internet access, a clean bathroom modern and small flat-screen television.
The staff was very accommodating and helped us with maps and lists of wineries we would need to plan our wine route. The village of La Morera de Montsant is very sleepy, as are most of the little villages in the area, but we found it to be very convenient to the places we intended to visit nearby. The hotel also acts as local restaurant, and we ate dinner at the hotel the first night. We absolutely LOVED our food, and the staff was more than happy to accommodate our vegetarian requests.. After having a not-so-great lunch in Sitges on the drive up, the home-cooked Catalan food was just what we needed.
We would definitely stay here again and greatly enjoyed our 2-night stay. The price was reasonable and included a continental breakfast of juice, cafe con leche, toast and sweet bread.
