Perfect stop-off in a very remote area. We stopped late but the owner answered the phone and came up to complete the paperwork immediately. Old school paper registration with Mr. Coffee in the room with real coffee and ceramic cups! Room was clean, bed was great. Dog-friendly ("we don't charge for the dog but if he leave's us anything in the room you will be charged accordingly" - loved it!). No road noise or neighbor noise. Great choice!
Very nice accommodations. Clean room, hot water, view of the mountains and they accept dogs.
Truly a very nice place to stay. I recommend staying in Haines Junction over Whitehorse if you can.
More trails, beautiful scenery and nice people.
Simple and cozy.
This motel is for your basic stop over stay. We needed a place to sleep on our way to Haines Alaska. The border crossing into Alaska is not a 24 hour crossing which makes Haines Junction a great stopping off point if your plan is to cross the border when it opens @ 7 an Alaskan time.
Believe rooms are pet friendly and they definitely most allow smoking in the rooms as that was evident the moment we opened the door to our rooms.
As a footnote It was late when we arrived at Haines Junction. We were booked in at another hotel in Haines Junction but they double booked our room so we were without a place. The host at Cozy Corner motel was good enough to accommadate our group when we showed up late and unannounced.
We think we were the only people staying at this motel. It was strange and sad. A sign indicated that the proprietor was trying to sell the property. No wifi. Not customer friendly. Very small room in a very aged facility. No shampoo, only small bars of soap. Good location, but would not stay here again.
Very quiet, clean and comfortable. I have 2 Great Pyrenees dogs—no problem! I am glad I got to stay here. Parked right in front of my room—easy in, easy out. The restaurant has limited hours—only open until 9:30 a.m. which probably takes care of most people. Great place.
