Traveled about six hours on a coach wanted to get in a hotel quick and get settled down picked The Lodge because its close to the coach and railway station met by the guy running it got chatting for a bit then he handed me the key it was the room next to the entrance on the ground floor absolutely filthy you couldn't see the TV it was covered in dust whent into the ensuite it was disgusting shower full of black mold toilet was diabolical all the tiles on the bathroom floor all cracked the room was shocking and appalling if I wasn't so tired I would of gone somewhere else disgraceful I used half a packet of antibacterial wipes on the TV there was thirty wipes in the packet all the owner does is sit & plays around with his laptop he couldn't care less he moved from London and brought the hotel from the lady who owns the hotel next door just a waste of time should of stayed in London it just doesn't make sense what he is doing in Bournemouth 🤷♂️
Stag here for my stag do weekend. We arrived a bit early, ask if we go in the room was told yeah no problem. Room was clean and tidy and comfy. Did exactly what said on the tin great place to stay for groups on a weekend.
The guy running the place couldn’t of been nicer especially when the morning we had a medical emergency and he was very understanding about the whole thing. Would recommend it and recommend Bournemouth again. Thank you for a great stay
Arrived at 3.40pm. Was told my room still dirty and they were trying to get the previous tenant to move out. Reluctantly left my stuff unattended in the room as I had an appointment.
TV remote was broken. No soap to wash hands/take a shower.
On checking the mattresses.. Absolutely disgusting! Should all be burnt. Also, my pillow stank so much (no pillow protectors) i couldn't sleep. Although cheap during the week, anyone paying more should look elsewhere.
Looking at previous posts from the owner, rather than resolve cleanliness issues, he chooses to be confrontational with dissatisfied guests. I'm really surprised hotels.com would accept such a bad place.
Parking is not worth the hassle here as ur likely to get blocked in. The current manager was very friendly and apologetic
This place it's a joke , they do not have nothing that they advertise , no swimming pool, no bowling alley, no tennis courts, nothing. They don't even have a reception, they have a piece of paper with a phone number glued to the door, and you have to phone them , then someone that sounds drunk says that the person that cleans the room will clean the room only at 17.00 .
Don't waste your time and money here, as I booked and left the place at 18.00 , with my partner and 2 kids, looking for a place to stay the night. And I did not get my money back.
Absolutely unbelievable. The term "you get what you pay for" doesn't even apply. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Our room had not been cleaned before it was issued to us. Yellow sheets, stained bedding, hairs everywhere. Also, the smell of stale sweat was overwhelming. We asked for the bedding to be changed, this took 2 hours - meaning we did not have a room for most of the evening and were unable to get ready to go out with the rest of our group.
There needs to be better security and control over other guest within the hotel, during the night we were harassed by members of another room, who also tried to unlock and enter our room in the middle of the night. Not acceptable for 2 women to be threatened like this by a group of 5+ men.
We noticed drug use throughout the hotel, which added to our discomfort and feeling of vulnerability.
We would never stay at this hotel again and would recommend anyone thinking of booking this hotel to avoid it. There are plenty of low cost group booking hotels in Bournemouth which we have used before and would recommend over this one.
