I have just returned from a 5 night stay at this dog friendly Guest House and my stay was excellent. My ground floor double en-suite room, room 2, was very clean and spacious and had everything that was needed to make my stay comfortable, including a good shower. Yes, it even had windows that would open, not something that is to be taken for granted as some establishments have painted over jammed shut windows. The heating in the room was individually controllable too. Breakfast provided a good selection of cold choices and home made yummy jams and a good hot breakfast to order. The owner was really pleasant and very helpful providing local information and tips. Street parking permits were readily available from the Guest House free of charge but I did actually park my car for the entire stay just around the corner in a free parking area, no permit required, no problem. Wyatt is an easy 10 minutes flat walk straight down to the town centre and a racecourse, riverside, more scenic walk in to town is also an easy walk. This value for money Guest House is a hidden gem so don't miss it as you won't be disappointed.

Booked an overnight stay via telephone and asked if the super king room was available. When we arrived there was no parking and we had to take pot luck in one of the side streets. We walked around the corner and were greeted by the sight of some very drunk (and quite probably high) people fighting on the doorstep of the B&B next door - not a good first impression!

When we entered the Wyatt we had to pay up front for our room and I had no idea that there would be a charge for using a card until afterward 😕

The room was clean albeit a little dated and sure enough there was a super king size bed in there... which was great... until we sat on it and realised that it was simply two single mattresses pushed together. The resulting 'join' down the middle of the bed was extremely uncomfortable and made for an awful nights sleep.

Breakfast the next morning was okay but on the small side.

An okay stay.

Flabbergasted to read some of the comments by this contributor. This guest was not charged for using their card. The price paid was for bed and breakfast as displayed on our tariff board and on our website. We did not make a charge for them using their card. We do not charge anybody for using any card at all. We do advise at the time of booking that we ask our guests to pay on arrival. The reason for this is that as we do not employ staff and do all the work ourselves, we can get quite busy and rushed at breakfast time with people wanting to pay then and we would prefer to serve breakfast at this time. We find it more relaxed and can give more time to the customer at checkin. The Superking bed. We do use a zip and link system for our Superking beds. We find this the most versatile option as our weekend trade differs from our weekday trade. ...so object to the comments about two mattresses pushed together. The Superking is designed for this use. Although we do not have our own parking, there is on road parking right outside the guest house.....and yes, plenty of free parking in the side roads either side of the guest house. If a guest had told us they had a problem with the parking, we could issue an all day permit but we find these are generally not necessary. We are sorry this guest found the breakfast to be small, we provide a menu at the breakfast table for the customer to choose from. Maybe they should have asked for more!

I phoned to make the booking and was treated very civilly. My room, at the back of the house, was clean, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

Should I return to Worcester, I will use this guest house again.
