We stayed at Heatherfield before joining the Glen Etive for a 6 day trip around Mull. Mike and Julie kindly allowed us to leave the car & we simply had a few hundred yard to walk to North Pier. Heatherfield was very clean, room 5 excellent with sea view. Breakfast was good selection of choices pre booked the previous evening and left outside the room at an agreed time. Attention to detail and approach to the Covid issues was excellent and very professional

Lovely welcoming rooms clean furniture a bit dated but fine.made us a small packed lunch greatly appreciated.mike the perfect host .
We had room 3 as we asked for a bath ,the bath was the smallest we had ever seen .
I didn’t know they still made televisions so small ,don’t expect to sit in bed and watch the morning news
The bathroom has a lack of shelving to put your personal toiletries the soap provided is a very cheap brand
The shower over the small bath runs very slow and takes 5 minutes to wet your hair but the water was hot
breakfast
You write down what you would like due to coronas
Cereals
Fruit
And I thought 2x2 toast

We got milk no cereals
Fruit
2x2 breadrolls

I went downstairs and informed mikes partner that they had given us the wrong breakfast ,this was said with out any anger etc
I was told this is what I ordered so I asked to see the paperwork ,I was informed it had been thrown out so I suggested she got it out of the bin if only just thrown away .
This was received by an abusive response saying you calling me a liar etc
Mike asked would I want another breakfast and due to his partners response I said don’t bother it doesn’t matter
When I went upstairs my wife said let’s go as she heard all of the conversation
I informed mike of our decision
In the car park mikes partner came into the car park shouting and screaming at us
They produced the breakfast order now and I had written 2x2 toast underneath the toast next to bread rolls for which I apologised
Mikes wife still shouting and screaming was waving her arms around as if to attack me and mike was dragging her away while she was shouting at him to get of her
I suggested she calmed down and she was in the wrong business
Mike in all this was a gentleman to the end I as he was busy I left the monies owed in a box in reception of which he was aware of and when I did this I could hear utensils been thrown around the kitchen

To sumarise stay here but don’t expect the best of bathrooms but clean rooms and deal with Mike only
.

Had a lovely stay at Heatherfield House which had a sea view. The room was spacious and bed very comfortable. We were met by the owner Mike who was very friendly and gave us advice on places to eat, which were within easy walking distance of the town centre. We would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Stayed for one night before heading over to Mull the following morning. Couldn't fault it - lovely room and facilities and really tasty breakfast.

Great location for centre of town with plenty of parking available. Owners really friendly and helpful. Recommended and will aim to stay here again next time I go to Mull.

Spent 3 nights at Heatherfield House in September and loved every minute of our visit, excellent B&B.

Driving through Scotland we stopped in Oban for a few days to tour the islands and had a amazing stay at the Heatherfield House. Mike and Julie are perfect hosts making sure every small detail is attended to.

Heatherfield House is a short walk from the downtown area, the ferry terminal and the various piers. Easy to walk to various restaurants, both ferry piers and McCaig’s Tower. September is the off season so the crowds were light giving us access to all Oban had to offer.

Our room was on the 2nd floor facing the water with views of the isles. Room was very clean with a comfortable shower. Sunsets were special. Room was a nice size with a king size bed, small sitting area with a desk and a nice modern bathroom.

The breakfast was cooked to order from a menu with fruit, cereal and yogurt placed on the sideboard.

Great location and a quiet B&B.

Hello and thanks for thinking of staying with us. I am sorry but our rooms are designed and equipped for use by 2 people at a time. In addition our lower age limit is 16. Why not try two places very close by: The Old Manse or Dunheanish. They each have a website so you cold search in advance. Good luck and thank you again.. Julie and Mike
