Stayed here last Saturday 3rd October mainly because of covid restrictions and having to stay within Dublin. From start to finish everything was excellent staff could not have been more helpful all about the guest's experience. Room was lovely and had everything. Dinner on Saturday night was excellent Gina looked after us and could not have been more helpful or more professional. A slight misunderstanding on our booking and the manager was on hand to sort it out quickly without fuss, once again very professional. We will return even though we live in Dublin. Thanks to all the staff in the schoolhouse Hotel.

We had a lovely night away in the Schoolhouse hotel for our anniversary. A beautiful hotel in a great location. The room was very spacious. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The food is amazing, great value, big portions. We felt very safe, hand sanitizers everywhere and the staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay at the hotel again.

Firstly a nice hotel with good helpful staff. Covid restrictions dealt with very well. Breakfast tasty with a good selection. Had a drink in the bar area once served the staff did not anywere near us to ask if we wanted another drink which with the current situation we did not think good enough. Room large and very big comfy bed. Bathroom ok but no extractor so very steamy. Free car park but very tight so ended up parking on the road. Would go again . Only 25min walk to Grafton st.

thepatricks_2 Greetings from the Schoolhouse. Thank you for your review. I would like to apologise for the lack of attention you received while being our guests in the bar. I am however glad that you enjoyed so much else of your stay such as our breakfast, comfy beds and convenient location to Grafton Street. I am also glad to see that you would return again to us. Thank you once again for your review, and we look forward to welcoming you back again. Kind regards, Tom Isherwood General Manager

Stayed in September after being at home since March in lockdown , greeted by a lovely receptionist on arrival 11/09/20. We asked for tea & it arrived to our room , just shortly after we did, outstanding service.
Got a fabulous room , thank you reception , we had booked dinner in the Inkwell bar & were served by Ryan who is exceptional at his job , Anything we asked for , Ryan said. “ Not a Bother “, he is amazing at his job and could not do enough for us, We also met Leo who was fantastic too. For breakfast we were served by a lovely girl from Mexico who couldn’t do enough for us. What a fabulous place to stay with such wonderful staff who really helped us have a great night. The beds & pillows are the sooo comfortable , best bed We both agreed we had ever slept in. Thank you to the staff of the schoolhouse hotel for making our stay in Dublin most memorable. We will be back !

we made a booking at this hotel 29th August when we were returning our 5 yr old grandson to his parents in Dublin.
We had a fine room with a very comfortable king sized bed. Unexpectedly we had to keep our grandson as his younger sister was delayed in a hospital discharge. We had a lovely dinner in an upstairs with plenty of social distancing where we enjoyed an excellent meal .
In the morning after a top class breakfast which was included in our booking , our grandson enjoyed smoked salmon and scrambled egg which I offered to pay for I was amazed to be told at checkout that there was no charge and that they were delighted to have him.
Finally as his national school is just around the corner in Haddington road I can ourselves returning to dine and stay in this most friendly Hotel.

When we booked there was no fee for a cancellation but it would be best to contact the hotel as they would be able to give you an up to date cancellation policy. They are responsive to e-mails and were helpful when we had queries before our arrival at the hotel.

Is the deluxe double the standard room?

Yes it is; however we did get a fridge and a canopy over the bed so maybe it was an upgrade.
