New hotel with an excellent location in the old town in walking distance from all attractions. Our room was quiet and comfortable with good facilities. There were no bathrobes in our room, even though this was listed as part of the amenities in our voucher. Plentiful breakfast buffet. On Sundays it is open until 12 o’clock. There is direct access from the hotel to the neighbouring public swimming pool (Zentralbad). The wording on the hotel’s webpage may indicate, that access to this swimming pool is included in the room charge, but I learnt the hard way that it is NOT. Overall there is a tendency that this hotel promises more than it delivers.
Everything worked perfectly at the Atlantic - location is great, service was top notch, and our room was spacious and spotless clean. The reception staff was particularly attentive since they even opened the bar to offer us coffee when we arrived an hour before check in. They also let us park before check in time (and the parking facility is very convenient, especially for such a central location). Last but not least, we were pleasantly surprised by the city of Luebeck - so charming and with so much to offer! We will definitely be back...!
This hotel is very conveniently located for walking around Lübeck and visiting it’s many attractions. Our room was spacious, well-appointed and had lovely views from the window.
Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, and were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent - a great selection of hot and cold dishes with plenty of healthy options if one felt so inclined. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
The Atlantic Hotel in Lübeck was just as expected. Prior reviews give an accurate picture. It’s centrally located, the building looks relatively new. It’s clean and spacious with a large ground floor with reception area, restaurant/ bar and conference style rooms. The staff are super helpful. We booked a suite room on the top floor with great space and well laid out with access to a balcony with table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable with good quality bed linen and towels a little on the small side for the larger person. There is good wardrobe space with a small safe for travel documents/ money. The self service breakfast buffet was nice with a decent continental selection plenty of tea and coffee. Most of all Lübeck Is such a very beautiful city to visit and a must see in this part of Germany.
Visited recently for a couples retreat. Came by car and hotel was easy to get to. Super service at reception and directions including parking voucher to the closest parking garage was given promptly.
Room quite satisfactory and in a contemporary style and didn’t feel 10 years as I guess the haven’t been done up since the hotel was built in ‘09.
Breakfast only average for this type of establishment with nothing to write home about. First morning the advertised ‘egg chef’ wasn’t available so the only option were scrambled eggs. Second morning a young girl manned the front-line kitchen but was obviously a bit inexperienced so the egg dishes didn’t quite turn out as expected. If there are any pick-up points to be collected, the hotel should really look in to its breakfast concept.
The bar both evenings was manned by a young, friendly and very service minded guy. All drinks and beverages turned out very well. However, the bar itself, the furnishings and decorations could use a loving hand, as everything came across a bit sterile.
