Staying here now and really pleased with our choice of hotel, room is lovely with a terrace and here they are huge on the 10th floor, with good views across the city. Large comfy beds, mini fridge and kettle so we are happy. Staff are amazing and very helpful, kudos to Maria who answered all our queries via email before arrival, and the pool man who works very hard keeping the area clean post Covid! Hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and everything is well set up to cope with distancing post Covid etc. We were permitted to check in early which was much appreciated on our arrival. Hotel is midway between the beach and city so a great location and near to the lovely Turia Park also. Thanks for a great stay
The bed had no headboard and only two pillows on a double bed. There was one coffee and one tea available for two people. The towels were large and fluffy. The bathroom was quite luxurious but the bedroom very plain and bare. Pleasant staff and well located.
We have just returned from our stay and to be honest I have to say it was a hotel from hell.
The receptionist Cielia and Patricia very rude.
We have arrived around 11 at night and was trying to upgrade our room.
When I told her that we are tired she also told me I am tired too, well this is your job not my problem.
Then she started lying to us about speaking to her manager and when I have asked her manager name she said she is nit here and she said I was calling her. When I asked her name she said because she didn’t answer I have decided for myself.
We have paid and got another room on top of the family room and the room they gave us was awful so noisy and next to the road.
In the morning I have spoken to the manager and she was trying to help so gave us a free late check out which I believe with the money we have paid it wasn’t really free but she was trying to apologise.
Breakfast was very simple and nothing special, we have also ordered pizza which wasn’t cut either and there was no cutlery provided.
Didn’t they think how we are suppose to eat them?
No kettle was provided in the room, very expensive for what you get.
You can find much better places to stay, the hotel is very old and aged too.
Spent 5 days with my my wife while on a business trip. Staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant - room and bathroom spotless. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. Not really an ideal pool as it’s shaded for a good part of the day, gym is very small but overall the location is excellent. 10 mins on the bus to the beach and right beside the amazing park which runs all the way to the old city.
We selected this hotel based upon reviews and photos. Turned out not to be what we thought.
We paid for a Room with a view, thinking we'd face the Science museum/Oceanarium. We were surprised to learn a View room meant any room 3rd floor or above. We were assigned a 4th floor room overlooking a Day Care Center. Because of the design of the building, actually none of the rooms have much of a view.
Our room was spare, although the bathroom was palatial? Internet service was slow. This perhaps as the hotel was full of conference attendees.
We expected this was a 4 star hotel. Not really. The bar was in fact the same as the cafe, a sterile space that might seat 20 people. The breakfast room was large, but austere. We passed on it and found a few nice coffee shops nearby.
The exercise center up on the roof was not much bigger than a walk in closet. The sun bathing space on the roof was surrounded by blowers and other mechanical equipment.
The biggest issue with the hotel is its location. It is not in the city center, not near the beach. It is about a 20 minute bus ride one way or the other. We should have stayed in town or out on the beach.
The beach area is very nice and in the midst of some redevelopment. The city center is fascinating. Do spend several days there and be sure to visit the Mercado and the Cathedral and its Holy Grail chapel.
