I had a booking on 10th of June. But because of the COVID 19 Virus my flight was cancelled and traveling was not allowed. So I cancelled my booking on the first of June, I paid the full price and I get no answer after I send 2 mails and I didn't get a Euro back. What me really annoyed that they sell the room again, cause I checked it before it was after my booking free and few days after they where fully booked. So they charged the room twice...
We stayed for 6 nights and it was nothing short of amazing , from the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off to the train station . Everybody involved in our stay was wonderful . Naomi picked us up and gave us any information we needed for our stay . Roberta was there every morning for breakfast and we had a to of fun talking to her , she was fantastic and also translated to the owner Giuseppe for us . He would still talk to us in Italian and Roberta would let us know what he was saying .
The property was perfect and you couldn't ask for anything more , the room was a great size and had everything you needed . We had a great balcony that we could sit on and relax . Downstairs there were plenty of tables and chairs to relax . the pool was newly finished and it was a great addition to the property and great on a hot afternoon .
Breakfast was plentiful and fresh .Everything is within walking distance, restaurants, beaches , public transport , it is all easy walking too. I can not praise this place anymore as we had a wonderful time and wished we could have stayed longer .
Thanks you to everyone who made our stay nothing sort of perfect , I have told all your friends and if we are ever your way again there is not other place we would stay at .
My wife and I stayed in room 3 at Casa Lucia for three nights and found it good.
The young staff, including Roberta on reception, were very hospitable and informative. Casa Lucia is located close to Marina Grande, the fishing port featuring many excellent seafood restaurants and bars away from the main town. It is also just a 10 min walk from the main square Piazza Tasso, and a lift at street level down to the beach/port.
The breakfast was good - quite simple as other reviewers have mentioned but delicious and fresh.
Casa Lucia lists tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Unfortunately the only item provided was a kettle - no cups, spoons, tea/coffee or milk. There were also no glasses provided in the room which meant you couldn't enjoy cold drinks or wine in your room during your stay.
We asked for some cups, spoon, milk and glasses from the breakfast room on the first morning - and luckily we had brought our own tea and coffee to have in our room. However, the cups and glasses were taken away when the housekeeper cleaned our room in the daytime, and not replaced, so we were back to having just a kettle again! Our bottle opener was partially broken, missing the corkscrew tool.
Given the B&B nature of this property, it would be better to provide full tea/coffee making facilities and glasses in rooms to make your stay more comfortable.
The gardens at Casa Lucia were lovely. There is work currently being undertaken to install a swimming pool which Roberta told us would replace a small plunge pool they used to have. There is a property adjacent to Casa Lucia housing a swimming pool and spa. Roberta said the pool could be used there for 20 euros per person.
I traveled with my family (my wife and my 3 year old son) to Sorrento in October 2018, and we stayed at Casa Lucia for 5 nights. As soon as we stepped in, we realized we had made the absolute right choice in picking this place. The place is exactly what its name means, its basically a house (where the actual owner stays) and he is renting out rooms for visitors.
The rooms are perfect, appropriately sized for a family of three, comfy beds with clean sheets and a decently sized bathroom as well. There is hot water in the shower all day long which was perfect. They also have a mini refrigerator in the room. The house has a beautiful courtyard so in case you plan to hang out in the Casa all day, you can just get chill in the hammocks in the yard. There are a few toys for the kids too, to keep them busy.
They serve morning breakfast (dont expect anything elaborate) in the common kitchen area. Otherwise there is no food served or available during the day. BUT...that brings me to the best part.
The location of this B&B! it is situated close to the city center, walking distance from the many Piazzas...the beating heart of Sorrento. And its walking distance from the Marina Grande as well. The Piazzas are the best part of Sorrento, I do not think I have ever seen so many restaurants in such a small area. Pick and choose the restaurants from online reviews, and you will probably have the best culinary experience in Italy. So...you never have to worry about food, there is enough to eat at any time of the day with grocery shops nearby as well. Its also walking distance from the train and bus stations so its easy enough to plan trips to the other towns on the Amalfi coast.
All in all this was a great experience! totally recommend staying at the Casa for anyone who is planning a trip to Sorrento!
what a beautiful place to stay. there was three of us and we were in the family apartment which was very comfortable. it's very nicely decorated and the wifi works well except for in the bedroom. bathroom is great with good shower pressure and hot water. breakfast is included which is delicious with a range of cereals, pastries, salads and good coffee. there's a cute area outside too with hammocks. it's in a great location away from the noise but only a couple minutes walk to the main streets. I would stay here again.
