This is a comfortable hotel very conveniently located next to the main railway station in Naples on Piazza Garibaldi. It is perfect for the Metropolitan railway for getting around Naples, long distance trains, the trains down the Amalfi coast calling at Pompei and the airport buses. The staff will also arrange taxis for you and ensure that you are charged a fair price. The old part of Naples is within very easy walking distance.
Rooms are comfortable (we had a Superior Room with balcony) with good bathrooms. WiFi is provided. Each room has a safe (it is quite small but fine for passports and documents). The buffet breakfast is very good. A kettle is provided.
The Hotel staff were very friendly, informed and helpful. They made us feel very welcome.
The restaurant next to the Hotel is excellent with very good service. We enjoyed several meals there although there are many other restaurants nearby.
We really enjoyed our five night stay and would be happy to return.
hotel is well located near the main station,i stayed for one night,on arrival the male (night) receptionist was grumpy (maybe he had a bad day),check in was quick.
the room and bathroom were furnished modern and well equiped, there was no coffee in the room (so bring your own) and i had to unplug the tv to boil the kettle.
breakfast was basic but substantial with hot and cold options and rock hard bread and day old cakes but iv had worse.
the hotel really needs to look at the plumbing, the racket from the water and toilet pipes kept me awake most of the night and if you are a light sleeper like myself its something to consider if you are thinking of staying here.
We stayed at Stelle for 2 nights. The hotel is situated conveniently, with the train station being just about 400 meters away. The room was decently spacious and had a modern vibe to it. The washroom was also fitted with quality equipment. The concierge service was also friendly and helped us pick out good places for authentic Italian food.
The only thing lacking was the promptness in service. We had to call the reception multiple times to get one service and even then our issue was not satisfactorily resolved.
Stayed here for one night and would've moved had we been booked for longer. Little more than a youth hostel. Basic room - hardest bed and pillows I've ever used. Didn't sleep well as a result and was sore the next day.
The bathroom door didn't lock so the door didn't stay closed. Shower was abysmal - had to run fir 15 mins to get any hot water and if you wanted anything more than a dribble the water was then cold. It seemed our room has everyone else's water pipes running over it. The noise of running water a people's bodily functions was awful.
Breakfast was ok but soulless.
The "bar" was a cafe on the foyer with plastic tables and chairs. Staff had limited English and didn't know what gin was.
The roof terrace overlooked a barren industrial wasteland
No English tv channels
Plus points - close to the station for when when you want to leave
The Windows dud shut out the noise from the street.
The room with a balcony was nice, the location was exceptional next to the central train station and 10 minutes taxi from the airport (but can be a little scary at night if you're not used to the area). The staff were all friendly. Room was very clean and with a modern feel.
