I checked in two days ago and I chose this place because of the WiFi. Well it’s not working since I have checked in so I am forced to go out to use the net. The staff seems not to care about it. Besides, I am not to picky but bedsheets pretty old, I can’t decide if they are just old or dirty. The whole room is old. The location is good though. I am totally unhappy because of the attitude of the staff who doesn’t care at all.
I stayed here on a business trip to Brussels and I'm afraid this place fell well short of my expectations.
On arrival there was a man in my room fiddling with the TV, I think he may have been from maintenance, but I would have expected the man on reception to warn me if my room was not ready.
The room was spacious and in a fairly quiet street, but it was really quite grubby. I have added some candid photos below but issues included poor electrical maintenance, doors that would not shut properly (e.g. between bedroom and kitchenette and the door to the bathroom), poor standards of cleanliness throughout and what appeared to be evidence of a small fire in the lift. Breakfast was not provided.
The power socket in the room was also hanging off the wall and did not look very safe. The TV reception was poor. The wifi signal was also very poor and unusable most of the time I was there (2 nights). I did not find the emergency exit as it was not signed and the reception was not manned 24 hours per day (in fact there was nobody there just before 9am when I wanted to check out on my day of departure).
The location was some way from the city centre.
Could certainly do better I would say! I will not be staying here again under any circumstances.
Got caught in a jam of not having a place to stay in Brussels. T'was the only place near Avenue Louise that had a room available. It wasn't that bad. Had a kitchen and street view. Clean enough... Wi-Fi signal weak in the room otherwise stay at the reception to get better signal.
Stayed at Aparthotel Wellington from 10-June-2015 till 14-June-2015 in room number 511. Room are good. They also have kitchen so you can cook. Cleanliness is ok. Got a room having road-side view so it was good.
Note: The reception is available from 10am till 5pm. If you are planning to check-in during odd hours, please inform the reception or might face trouble.
I stayed at the Aparthotel Wellington for 4 nights in room 408. It was a great quite Comfort flat on the quite back side of the Aparthotel (see pictures).
The Aparthotel is close to the Avenue Louise/Louizalaan, the tram, bus, the shops, the offices etc.
The only downside I could maybe find is that it is quite far from the Grand Place in Brussels, so it’s not ideal for the typical American sightseeing tourist who wants to see the city centre of Brussels in just one night... This Aparthotel is ideal for the business person who needs to be at a conference, work or event near the Ixelles/Elsene and Avenue Louise/Louizalaan area. The staff is very friendly. There was F.REE WiFi, F.REE Internet and F.REE prints and copies at the reception. I probably printed/copied around 40 sheets during my 4 days stay for free. I highly recommend this Aparthotel for business people and will probably return here if I’ll ever have to be near the Ixelles/Elsene area for a couple of days/weeks/months.
