very friendly place and atmosphere..food is delicious..affordable price and good location. with a fantastic view from our room on ever-snowy Laila mountain range. also a very nice
balcony and garden with authentic local family design to chill out
The room was clean with a lovely view from the balcony! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was especially tasty- eggs, sausages, rice pudding, fresh bread, meats, cheese, and tomatoes were on offer, the only thing missing was real brewed coffee rather than the instant stuff that is common in Georgia.
This hotel is a boutique type hotel, it's has authentic atmosphere. The view from balcony is amaizing. In hotel is a nice garden and Pergola. Breakfast was very delicious.
Managers english was quite good.He was ready to help as and give advices all Time where to go, what to do, which trails to use.
The Most importent was that room were clean all time.
we were happy that we have choosed this Hotel in Mestia
We stayed in this guesthouse for 3 nights. The room was clean but quite small... with two beds in the room it was hard to manoeuvre around. We did have a balcony though, which was nice. Bathroom was clean, no bad smells like other reviewers mentioned. The only negative points for us:
1) no English spoken in this guesthouse, impossible to ask any questions about tourist information, what time the breakfast is, etc.
2) Breakfast is only at 8AM, which for us was too late as we wanted to go out early each day to hike or visit other places (Ushguli taxi leaves at 8AM in front of tourist information center for instance). We only had breakfast once, and it was indeed very basic (as another reviewer confirms).
I'm sure the lady owning the guesthouse is very friendly, just too bad that almost no communication was possible and that we hardly had any breakfast.
We stayed in Hotel Villa Mestia for 3 nights in January. This authentic Georgian guesthouse is located on the main road, walking distance to the centre of town. It is family run, and our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and even included us in their Christmas celebrations on January the 7th. Although basic, our room was warm, cosy and clean, with a balcony. Service was great and the typical Georgian food was delicious. Wi-fi was also provided. I would definitely recommend this gem to anyone who wants to experience famous Georgian hospitality.
